This television drama gives the viewer an opportunity to show how Clark Kent (Superman) grew up as a child. The show offers the viewer to see all the different decisions that were made by the young boy and how it will affect him later on in life. Characters include, Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, Annette O'Toole as Martha Kent, John Schneider as Jonathan Kent, Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor, Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Allison Mack as Chloe. Each character in the show makes an impact on Clark Kent as a young adult and influences him in a different way. Also, see the impact on young Lex Luther and why he is determined to terminate Superman.

As the viewer gets more and more involved in the the story line you soon find out that when a meteor strikes this very old town, Smallville, a young boy is left stranded, and is taken care of by Martha and Jonathan Kent. This young child is raised with all the politeness and manners a youngster could ever have. But growing up the young Clark Kent discovers he has powers emerging from his body and then begins to put them to good use. Helping others in the community, defending evil bad guys, and saving the world almost at the same time. This show never finds a dull moment.

Although, there are some different storylines you must follow during the show to understand the full meaning behind Clark Kent's life. Just watching one airing will make you want to come back for more. There are many different components to the show, but none more exciting than Superman.
