I would go with Kelly Clarkson - Break away.
I also like an artist from my country who sings an intersting song he is Joe Montana - Freaky (suggestive lyrics, but very funny)

I am super into Radiohead again, as we will be seeing them on the 31st. I am also loving Feist, Royksop, and pretty much all of the stuff on my IPod currently.

Good news about Jon.

Thing I like about Casting Crowns is that their songs tend to focus on some of the things that the church tends to fall down on. The main reason we're here. Their most pointed lyric is probably "If We Are the Body"

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girl's teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know

But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way

A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgemental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road

Jesus payed much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ

Jesus is the way

!!!!
I also love the lyric from Who Am I? Always brings a tear to my eye..

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

I am yours.

Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?

'Cause I am yours.

HOLY SNICKERS! That song speaks volumes! WOW!!! COOL! Thank you for sharing!

Feist, "I'm Sorry". Too fantastically lovely, honest and bare. Listen and love it!

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I like Casting Crowns. Their lyrics are quite good. A lot of their songs come out as a challenge to the church to buck up and do what we were commanded to do, not just 'do church'. That's one of the main points of "Stained Glass Masquerade". It's saying "be real, be loving".

Are we happy plastic people
Under shiny plastic steeples
With walls around our weakness
And smiles to hide our pain
But if the invitation's open
To every heart that has been broken
Maybe then we close the curtain
On our stained glass masquerade

I can never completely sing through that song "Who Am I" without getting choked up at some point.
