To be quite honest, I don't think there are THAT many people in this forum that bash DA -- it's just a small number of poster who post quite frequently and are uninhibited in their desire to put DA down (**ahem THR :P)

On the other hand their are almost no Archy fans bashing DC. As I said before we play nice.

Lol actually I put his dad down more than him and I have said that enjoyed some of his performances I would like to see more versatility in Archy it's always the same old thing with him..

I have no complains if Archy wins, the only complain that I have so far is that he hasn't show versatility as the other contestants!! I would love to see something different coming from him just for a change!

yes, but look how far this has gotten him -- he's in the top 3! why change when he's doing fine the way he is.
With respect to why DA fans don't bash DC fans, I'd have to say (in my opinion), it's because we DA fans are perfectly fine with having DC win the competition (if DA doesn't). However, based on what i've been reading in these forums, I'm getting the impression that DC fans REALLY REALLY don't want DA to win AT ALL.

You guys must be reading a different forum than I am. I can only speak for myself I suppose but I don't see DA as a "threat" to DC. It seems like you guys think that David Cook fans fear the Archuletta like he's the freaking anti-Cook or something and our only defense against him is too make him appear as bad as we can. Come on now, we just have different tastes.
I don't like DA's performances. They are unoriginal and boring to me. That's all.
Winning AI doesn't mean much as far as a contestants career potential anyhow. From past winners, I would be inclined to say that winning AI is detrimental to someones career.

Slimey you just kind of proved the point. Archy fans are not here trashing Cook but Cook Fans continually trash Archy. Now you can come back and say that Archy fans don't trash Cook because Cook is good and Cook fans trash Archy because he sucks. It is kind of circular. The shame of this is that Cook fans are missing out on a really good singer while the Archy fans are enjoying it all. Any of the three remaining contestants will make an adequate winner. I am going to enjoy the final weeks but I will get no gladness out of anybody being sent away. As for winning and the effect on an artists career so far winning has not been good for Male contestants but very good for the females with the exception of Fantasia but I never liked her anyway.

Dude, I don't want to get into an argument over this, but where did I kind of prove the point? If you think that somewhere in my reply proves your point about Cook fans trashing Archie, then I think you are confusing me saying why I don't like Archie's performances with bashing.

Personally, I don't care which one wins. I do think that Cook is by far the better 'artist', but Archy has the better voice. Syesha has shown moments where she lets her fun side show, and when she does that she's pretty doggone good. I kind of get bored when she just stands like a statue and sings. But Archy just kind of bores me with his song choices. Not that he sings bad, it's just not what I would listen to.

hey all, i had to work tonight and missed the show, but i am hoping you all will fill me in. i have a unique view on the david discussion, in that i am in syesha'a camp. not that i think she's going to win... only that she's my favorite,....at least of those left. if you read my posts from the past, you will know that i think this is one of the best year's ever for ai! even though i am a syesha supporter and voter, i believe david c. will and probably should win. he is there now! david a. is young and talented and will get there. win or lose he will eventually be a winner. so will syesha... and brooke... and jason... i want to apologize to jason fans as i have been cruel in my comments in the last weeks (even using the sanjaya reference last week). i like jason, but like david a. he needs to mature b4 he can really make a full impact. as much as i love brooke, and as much as i love syesha; i think i knew from the time he sang "billie jean" that david c. will win. because he is already at the level that the others ascribe to. top 3 performances of the year: 3) chikezie "she's a woman" 2) syesha "change is gonna come" and 1) "billie jean" david cook!!! he may not be my favorite, but he is the best!
