this season seems strange. I finally figured out why.

it used to be just as fun to watch the judges.. simon would make a wise crack and paula would take a swing at simon..

that was funny stuff.

I think it's just a silly ploy designed to keep people tuned in, especially with the news of this being Simon's last season and all. I suppose that says something about the show's longevity: once Simon leaves, who knows how the ratings will be.
