Default Daughtry “Leave This Town” tour

Daughtry is one of the hottest bands in the moment. Consisting of singer Chris Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, guitarist Brian Craddock and guitarist Josh Steely, the band has released two studio albums up to now.
Chris Daughtry, a former American Idol contestant, formed the band. In terms of sales, Daughtry is the third most successful American Idol contestant after Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. The North Carolina rocker finished fourth in the 2006 season 5 of the show never reaching the finals. But that didn’t stop him. Daughtry’s debut album became the fastest-selling debut album in the US.
Since their initial success the band has been touring non-stop since the beginning of 2007. They have performed all across the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Singapore, and Australia. Daughtry has opened for other artists such as Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd, and Bon Jovi.
Daughtry tour is continuing in Europe in support of their latest release, Leave This Town. Their self-entitled debut album was certified as four-times platinum and spawned hits such as “It’s Not Over” and “Home.” Their second album was released in the middle of 2009. The No. 1 hit-singles from it include “Feels Like Tonight,” “What About Now,” "No Surprise," and the current hit, "Life After You", co-written by Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger.
Recently the band announced it is extending its first tour with 53 new dates. Among the new cities Daughtry will make stops in May are Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg in Canada. Grand Rapids and Baltimore are only a few of the many other cities where the Daughtry “Leave This Town” tour will hit before it ends in Rochester in June.
All US Daughtry shows will be opened by their special guest Lifehouse and by another band, Cavo.
In their short career Daughtry have already won significant recognition. In 2007 they won the American Music Awards for Best Adult Contemporary Artist, a year later they were again among the nominees for favorite Band, Duo or Group- Pop/Rock, and won the People Choice Award for Best Rock Song for "Home." Billboard Music Awards also recognized the talent of the young musicians. Daughtry fans can still buy Daughtry tickets as the band has already announced to extend their tour dates.
