AI Judge Leaves Show (real or a joke ?)

when a 4th judge was added last season, the hot speculation was that someone would be leaving and that last season would be a transition year.

well boys and girls. its been officially announced. an AI judge won't be back next year and its NOT simon.

Pawler leaving even made the Drudge Report. Pity. Even with all her foibles, she did add something to the show. She's like the anti-Simon.

Yes, the writing was on the wall. Annoying as she was, she'll be missed. Won't be the same without her nuttiness.

I think it's a bad career move on her part. She was getting millions of dollars, just to sit around, act drunk, dance like a maniac, and be sweet.

This move is up there with Mclean Stevenson leaving MASH to do "Hello Larry".

It'll come back to haunt her.

I think they made her resign. If she did quit it would almost be as bad as that doofus host that shared hosting the show with Ryan Sechrest (sp?) in season 1. When he quit Simon told him he made the worst career move in TV history. Later, the guy was desperate and wanted people to write in and help him land a reality show of some sort of life after American Idol or something. It must kill him to see how rich Sechrest is. At least If Paula did quit, she quit after she got rich. I think she has too big an ego to quit though. She would have went on. However, the contract they offered her could have been insultingly low $$ and that was their way of getting rid of her? I could see her threatening to quit if the contract sucked and they accepted her quitting to her surprise???

Maybe AI thought she was getting too much air time with her dancing and singing not to mention how long it took her to critque someone. Maybe they want to see how the show will go if there are 3 "serious" judges as it may bring the ratings up? Maybe they want to cut out the BS and get down to a serious show?

Paula and Simon had a great chemistry. I'd be surprised if the producers chose Kara over Paula. I'm afraid this will be the final nail in the coffin for American Idol. Time will tell.
