Idol contestant found dead outside Paula Abdul's home
A onetime contestant on the hit US television show "American Idol" was found dead outside the Los Angeles home of Paula Abdul, the singer who stars as a judge on the series, a report said.

Celebrity news website TMZ.com said a woman discovered in a car parked near Abdul's home in the Sherman Oaks neighbourhood on Tuesday had appeared on "American Idol," one of the highest rated shows on US television, in 2006.

Police and Los Angeles County coroner's officers did not release information about the woman, confirming only that her death was being investigated as a "possible suicide."

An Associated Press report identified her as Paula Goodspeed. She appeared in an audition segment in the show's fifth season, AP said.

Local media and celebrity news websites said the woman was believed to have had an obsession with 46-year-old Abdul.

oh grief, thats so sad. And she tried to get her fame in her death, when she couldnt achieve it in life. Paula must be horrified, too.
