Last Night's "American Idol"

Jordon Sparks has some powerful voice for a 17 yr. old! She is awesome!!
Melinda Doolittle has a perfect quality voice and could definitely be the next "American Idol" .!!! Lakisha is awesome and I love to watch her perform!! These are the best and could make an awesome CD together!!! One of them should definitley win the competion; depending on whether the young or old vote!! I tried to vote last night and the phone would ring and ring and no one answered!! I wonder why? Did this happen to anyone else? I managed to get through part of the time!
I think they should have 2 "American Idols!" One for the boys and one for the girls! How about You!!

They have several from last season alone.

Not only do we have Taylor, we have Daughtry, McPhee and about 10 others, including Elliot who I feel was the best vocal talent last year.

Many times the best vocal talent doesn't win the competition. Agree with SlighDawg that Elliott had the better voice of the finalists in AI5, he just lacked the charisma. Taylor wasn't the better vocalist, but WAS the best 'entertainer' as he connected with the audience far better than the others. Commercially, I think Daughtry will have the most success of the AI5 contestants.

I agree Taylor is an awesome entertainer.....I also liked Kellie.....perhaps Jonathon has some influence there...Same thing with Elliott he was Jonathon's favorite guy....

Are you proposing this simply because of the blatant imbalance this year? I would hate to walk into a record store finding everything segregated by gender. Pink stickers indicate girl singers, & blue stickers indicate boy singers. However in the case of Sanjaya, this might force him to make a decision...
