2. I think Sundance goes, but I think the teen vote will spare Sanjaiya another week. Simon is right - something other than Sanjaiya's singing is keeping him in the game. He's weak vocally, and isn't much of a stylist either. I don't mean that in a bad way. He's young, and time is on his side. Who knows, he may be the AI winner of 2017.

I really hate the thought of this thing being a popularity contest instead of a singing competition, but to a certain extent, it's inevitable. I said last year that Catherine McPhee, Chris Daughtery and Kelly Pickler all had better voices than Taylor Hicks, and Elliot Yamin was just as good. But whereas the people who will actually get off their butt and vote cannot, for the most part, relate to someone like Catherine, a pretty, rich California girl, they can relate well to a guy like Taylor - Almost 30, not great looking, and with parents who you have to know are ready for him to get a life !
