Yeah, Pia was my favorite from last season. That's why it hacked me off when they used their 'save' on Wooly Bully. At the time I said it was a waste of the save. The following week Pia was eliminated. I stopped watching that season until he was sent home. He wouldn't have won the contest. She could have. Best voice of that season by far.

Hollie did a good version Wednesday night, but Pia killed it.
Listen to J Low's big annoying mouth trying to critique Pia. Pia can sing J Low out into the parking lot into a drainage ditch, yet J Low offers advice on singing. HA.

That's a great version. I wonder when her album is coming out. I know it'll be a hit.

J-Lo offering advice to Pia on singing is like Pee Wee Herman giving advice to Aaaaanowld on bodybuilding.

I'm a big Box Tops/Alex Chilton fan, so that whole segment pissed me off.
I really hated the duet with Phil and Josh. Josh sounded great, and sang effortlessly. Phil, on the other hand, did not sound good at all, and didn't put much effort into the song. It's really annoying that the judges keep sugarcoating things by saying he's just different. He's not different in a good way.
Hollie was outstanding. I'm really hoping she sticks around, because she's really peaking at the right time. She's making great song choices, and executing them well.
Jessica was pretty mediocre. Especially the first song. I wouldn't be surprised if she went home.
I liked both of Skylar's performances. I'm not a big fan of country, but I really liked her song choices, and performances.
Josh is probably the best all around vocalist. I like his voice, when he's not screaming. His verson of 'To Love Somebody' was pretty incredible.
The best thing about the show last night, was having Little Steven as a mentor.

Hey Teddy G. I think Jessica's second song was excellent. Skylar is very talented and should have lasted longer than Phillip who was terrible but we know the demographics of this show and Phillip might win the whole thing. I have an issue with Skylar though. How can you sing Fortunate Son with a great big smile on your face and in your voice. This is a very angry protest song. Pisses me off when people just sing a song without regard to what it is about. Like Faith Hill butchering Piece of My Heart singing it like it is a happy smiley little Ditty. Of course that was a massive hit for her. Pisses me off.

I was surprised that Jimmy suggested Fortunate Son, but I thought she did okay with it. She definately didn't deserve to be voted off. It would've been perfect for someone like Elise, but not Skylar. She would've been better off with an Aretha Franklin song, or any other soul singer from Atlantic or Stax Records. I can't really recall anyone ever looking angry, singing on American Idol, so I can't really fault her on that. I don't think it would've gotten her any more votes.

Put the anger in your voice at least and keep a smile off your face. This is a song being sung by a pissed off 18 year old who comes from a middle class or lower family about special treatment for the children of the rich, powerful, and privileged.

Like I said, I'm surprised Jimmy suggested it, because it really didn't fit her personality.

Vietnam was a long time ago and this show isn't intersted in the impact music has, except for ratings.
