some nice photos and great article. The day was, as we say in OZ, a corker!! Meaning it was fabulous, weatherwise. Started out rather chilly because the sun hadn't yet hit the area properly when we got there, and during the sound check (NEVER miss Guy's sound check if you're a fan and you can get to it, something else again) Guy mentioned he couldn't properly feel his guitar with his fingers. But by the time he came on it was warm and he really could have taken off the jumper, although he was always in the shade. The Airwalk itself is a superb example, one of the best I've been on. Someone who seemed to be in the 'know' mentioned there were 850 in attendance - I remember 700 was the tickets offered but I guess with families etc, and the area was bigger than one thought. Very well done by the people organising it.
Underneath are several youtubes of his performances, the acoustics were superb and Dewayne was probably the best support act he's had. He was with Australian Idol a couple of years ago and honestly, his voice is amazing. He definitely should have got through to the top 10.

He's since appeared at a major corporate event, a Sony Showcase where the "Sony Supergroup" of Katy Noonan, Mark Vincent, Guy Sebastian, Tim Freedman performed - a few awed twitters by some who attended! Apparently as a special surprise for the Sony CEO.
Now taking advantage of a few days off to get to Hervey Bay with his brother and sister in law who arrived back recently from London.
Won't be long before he takes off for the US (did I mention he also dropped in San Diego in one interview?)
