hopefully he'll tour around overseas next year :flowers: We're truly sorry for everyone, including Guy :haha: that he is just TOO busy - I mean if you're offered great gigs and opportunities here, it makes it very very hard to take a chance to turn down what is a massive career to take chances elsewhere.
Guy's 2013 Get Along Tour is pretty well sold out in most of the original venues and dates, but they have secondary dates available. That goes for Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. In Brisbane its getting very close but the Convention Centre is one of the larger venues, so I'm not sure whether 'they' would book it for a second night, or possibly grab a chance to have a show in a different venue, say down on the Gold Coast which is only an hour or hour and a half for others to drive. Plus as its a holiday area, there's lots of accommodation and much to do. We South East Qlders will cross our fingers.

Guy and LUPE (surprised the ARIA mob) performed at the ARIAS on Thursday night - Guy is always performing there, mainly because he usually has at least one #1 record for the year and is a great viewer puller. And no, he didnt get an award, as usual. Did I mention that the Aria people are happy to change the goal post (Award requirements) or even REMOVE it for that year if it looks like he must get it? Like they did that one year, so he missed, and then brought it back the following year because another artist was there for it. It's such a shonky deal these days that it was shown on a little known channel to only just over 300,000 viewers, just imagine if Guy hadnt been performing!
The overseas stars were Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj. Taylor performed. And all the Aria favorites got their usual awards (quite often, multiple - I've seen some get 5 or 6 awards, which makes a hole in any award giving doesn't it)
btw - at least Matt Corby got a gong, 1st reality show EVER contestant to get one. Matt has been careful to totally step away from Idol, so he receives airplay from the Triple J mob and is therefore acceptable to aria he does consistently sell his EP and no doubt is writing more songs, although he hasn't had to.
He was at the Myer ball last night and the set list was unbelievable! I am SO jealous of any being there. He actually sang a ton of unusual modern covers, some totally unexpected and fun, he didnt finish until after 1am and was on the redeye special flight back home this morning!
