About a big a 'non-surprise' as last season. WGWG5. AI hasn't had a female win since Jodan in 2007.
As I predicted, VFTW is crowing.
And how about that duet with Forarty. That was downright painful to listen two. Sounded like one of them was singing a 4th to the other in there. I can see why Joshua said that P2 would mess him up.

Jessica got screwed with the last song they chose for her. That was pretty awful. The one they chose for P2 was tailor-made for him. Plus the fact that she chose to sing ballads most of the time, didn't really help her much. That gets a little boring after a while.
I guess it really didn't matter anyway. I'm not sure how close the voting was, but judging by the audience, Phil pretty much had it in the bag.
I thought Fogerty sounded pretty good. He carried that performance. I liked their performance better than the Jessica/Jennifer Holliday scream-fest. Holliday looked pretty scary.

How about the lovely Jordin Sparks, X1, TG?
She is phenomenal and sang my all time favorite AI inspirational song, 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. And, sing it in a register where most can't go, and, pitch perfect. I love Jordin Sparks.
I was surprised with the modulation. Jordin nailed the last high note with clarity and strength. Poor Holly, all she could do was basically listen when Jordin left her range. Holly is still very very good though.
Yeah, TG, that mess with Holiday and Sanchez, made me cringe.

I loved Jordin and Holly's performance. I thought they sounded great together. Although Holly's not in her league, I thought she hung in there.

Give Hollie a couple seasons and I think she can get there. I did think she needed one more year though. Like they plucked her from the tree before she was ripe. It showed on some of her performances where she seemed unsure of herself. At times she was trying to please all the critics instead of just letting go and singing her best. I think she has the pipes, she's just a little shaky. Understandable from someone her age.
And I liked Fogary singing, and P2 sang okay on their performance. But when both were singing at the same time it seemed like a key mismatch.
