Do the Idols stay in Hollywood the whole season?

I am curious... So the top 24 do they get set up with room and board in Hollywood the whole season? I can't imagine the show flys them back and forth from their home city to the studio every week?

I wonder how that works?

They stay in Hollywood until they are voted off or until it gets close to the end and they get to go home for a few days.....
