The new band for the show...

Is it me, or did the band hold down most of the Idol's performances this past show???!!

Ryan came out first thing and bragged about how there is a new band and a big sound! Then they started to perform and i didnt think they were that good at all, OR had a decent sound!... Maybe it was the sound system?? Perhaps, but I am a drummer and can appreciate a good sound, so I feel i have some merit to what I'm talking about.

In my opinion, the band made the performances boring with only a couple of exceptions... Like Chris' performance... The band seemed to be warmed up by that point and took an interest in his song... I feel they should put the same effort into ALL of their performances in order to make the vocals shine... If the band sucks MOST people will translate that over to who is singing! I dont think it's too fair...

What do you think? How did you think the band was in comparison? Did you find their playing boring too?

I often think the band plays too loud, last years and this years band.

It's not even their volume so much, but rather their 'boring' renditions of the songs they are playing... kinda like elevator music! C'mon band, give the music some punch so the contestants can shine!

Wow...the band still sucks... They dont even sound like they did in rehearsals! Why are they playing so boring??
