this taste test doesn't do it justice one little bit. I've heard the whole and its totally amazing.
BATTLE SCARS.................. new favorite song, coming August 10 but its hit radio already.
so many already on youtube, as he sang this on his June tour with Ben Burgess, who deserves full mention too. The video, still coming, was filmed in New York.

BATTLE SCARS
is turning into a biggie.
It shot up to the top of the charts by the end of the 1st 24 hours, and is now leading iTunes by a massive amount - and Guy hadn't even started promo!
XFactor starts next week, Guy's wife Jule's "Style Me" show commences tonight on MTV and so things are hotting up. We are hoping for Lupe Fiasco / Guy Sebastian on the opening night... who knows? Will depend, I believe, whether Lupe is available...
Meanwhile someone has thoughtfully put up an international version of the official Video, its dimensions are a tad out but ... its better than not being able to see at all

and in fact this song is HUGE!!!
It all but took number 1 spot on Oz iTunes the very first day (Justice Crew have a huge one atm, Boom Boom) and
just a quick repost here - Except for a very small amount of time, Guy and Lupe with "Battle Scars" have been #1 on iTunes for the whole week, even holding off Taylor Swift. Loved the rather sweet tweet of one Taylor fan, who asked Guy whether he wasn't being a bit selfish with the #1 position there, and how about sharing it out a bit to others :haha: :wub:

interesting interview, taking in the lack of A&R guys these days, the way Battle Scars was produced and other areas such as XFactor which is lining up differently this year
And it's now certified Gold, got #1 for its second Aria week

USA iTunes charts,
when I last looked it was
at #3 on the Hip Hop chart And
#27 on the Main iTunes chart
this is still within the first 24 hours, a fair way to go!! Its had a massive surge for something not even getting radio play!

now to 11 on the Overall iTunes chart. Not bad after 2 days.
Radio play can commence now, I believe, but this may be slow to start

Its holding well, but we do need radio play. Lovely to see it being played around the world, sometimes at odd and unexpected places - like Croatia!

Lupe received two BMI Awards, congrats.
Radio play is just so slow... but there are hints from management that there will be a BIG performance, live, of this with Guy and Lupe!. Coming, sometime.
And I know this is not Xfactor Australia but yes, Guy DOES have an incredible voice, that's why he's a mentor.
Xfactor said after this, GUY NEVER STOP SINGING.. you'll see why
