Appears to be going ahead - Ronan Keating confirmed in show on Monday that he is up for this year's show.

I believe Guy has already indicated either in an interview or article that he is ready.

Hoping that MelB will do it, she was very 'spicy' and fun.

I rather think that Natalie Bassingthwaite, who appears to be very highly thought of by the powers that be will be there too, in that case.

No further update at present. May be that the 'recession' is hitting backers for shows, although I'm pretty sure this will be going ahead. Its still up that all judges are up for it this year, and auditions are being carried out shortly. The last part, I think, may be a bit eroneous as there's been no advertising - but perhaps they don't need it anymore.

And Guy will be back in Australia soon, for the birth of Jules baby which is due March 18.

Another interesting year (btw his "Don't Worry Be Happy" is still riding high in Australia and went 3P a couple of weeks ago)

Can't wait. I LOVE this show, with its fabulous productions and stagecraft. While the Voice stared well, its beginning to pall, somewhat and we're really ready for THIS show.

Guy's new single, "Gold" should be dropping very soon, and I'll slip in a link to the song he and Dre Harris wrote for Yuna. I love it, and her voice is just so gorgeous.

Meanwhile, Guy's definitely signed up for this year for XFactor - thank heaven. I'm really looking forward to it, I love the productions and staging, which is so very very close to my heart.

AFTER months of stalled negotiations, Guy Sebastian has finally re-signed with The X Factor - industry sources confirming the singer got a bigger slice of the pie.
Sebastian, who mentored last year's season winner Reece Mastin, is said to have decided to go after a contract worth at least as much as fellow judge and UK import Ronan Keating, who is rumoured to be on $500,000 per season.

Sebastian is understood to have been earning $200,000 when he originally signed on in 2010 while Kyle Sandilands and Natalie Imbruglia were, like Keating, on more lucrative packages.

When Sandilands stepped out of the lineup to make way for Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Imbruglia was replaced by Mel B last year, Sebastian's management started looking for a better deal.

While none would confirm the value of Sebastian's new contract yesterday - figures ranging wildly from $350,000 to $800,000 for a one-year contract - a Seven spokeswoman confirmed Sebastian's return to the reality show.

The short term of the new contract raises questions about the network's faith in the talent show - Seven's domination of the format has come into question with the arrival of Nine's mega-rating The Voice.

But, with season one of The Voice expected to wrap up in three months time, Seven bosses have seen the need to recapture the Australian talent show audience lost to Nine when The X Factor returns to air later in the year.

The continued success of Sebastian's brother Chris, now a contestant on The Voice, is also understood to have given weight to negotiations as Seven feared Nine might move the reunite the brothers.

The bootcamp was this week, Dancing With the Stars (and Guy's Johnny Ruffo is appearing in that and doing very well - in fact he's fitting it all in between being the 'special guest' on so many tours!)

Guy's brought out his new single, "Gold" someone mentioned they thought the song sounded sort of familiar, but not entirely.

It might be the brass line in the song that's familiar. He's sampled Otis Redding's 'Shake' and that riff runs in the back of the song all the way through. It really gives it a 60s soul sound, but manages to sound modern at the same time. I'm loving the track.

Nice find - Guy and Carmen (anyone came across The Voice furore) and the band rehearsing - concerts start tonight. SO wish I was there and doing more than just two, which will never be enough.

I can't believe Guy's schedule - as usual. He's been doing rehearsals and XFactor stuff, including boot camp etc. Its just so full on and we get to know all this by the tweets of those attending, and photos and Guy's tweets and MelB's and Ronan's. Guy's got a huge tour this year, but somehow I think it might be less stressful than his schedule in the last 6-8 weeks. AND he's still working on the album!

Can't wait for Xfactor to begin. Australia's Got Talent is into the finals, some awesome talent on there though not of Jack Vidgen's quality, who, like Guy and Reece Mastin, was of the 'extra special' variety. But I myself am really hanging out for XFactor and the 'shows' complete with fab. lighting, great staging and really great judges.

Personally speaking, loved "The Voice" when it started, but after the 1st 2 rounds I've lost about 64% interest and now record and fast forward to bits I might be interested in. Unfortunate, that but too often the judges are coming across these days as 'pandering' rather than assisting their charges.

Johnny Ruffo has been SO SO busy, he's been support act for a ton of top acts including the One Direction and finally won in Dancing With the Stars.

Declan and Andrew from last year are gigging regularly, so pleased - Andrew has a magnificent voice (just looks like the chubby bloke from next door without great style, that's all) and Declan is the fascinating super talented fella who should grow into a major artist as he matures.

Would LOVE a live performance of "Battle Scars" but surely would have to be with Lupe.

Due to the absolute stunning success of this song (#1 almost within 24 hours of release, kept the gorgeous Ms Swift from taking out the number 1 spot and in fact is now 30% ahead of her) it would seem that there is a US release very very soon - can't help hoping that perhaps XFactor US or somewhere gets a live performance with Lupe and Guy. !!

No doubt helped by the fact that MelB appeared with the Spice Girls for the closing ceremony at the London Olympics
