When I first saw this little girl, I wasn't too sure, but after listening to her all these weeks I am convinced she should be the next American Idol.
Her voice has a quality that none of the others can match.
As I said she should be the next - but after seeing what happened last week I almost have given up on common sense in the American viewer.
The judges agreed with me obviously but I just don't know about the voters.

I noticed dancing with the stars judges are deciding who stays in the bottom two. Might be a good idea for AI do adopt that idea.

As we've seen in seasons past, the best vocalist does not neccessarily win the prize. Prime evidence is last season when Pia was eliminated. She couldn't be saved since the judges wasted their one save on Casey (who wasn't going to win it anyway). But she was clearly the best voice of that season. At least this season they held their ground and didn't waste their save on someone like Deandre (as JLo wanted). And regardless of whether or not she wins, she'll have a successful music career.

Of the contestants remaining, I think she and Skylar will be the mosts successful. Others will do okay and carry a niche audience, but either of these two will be singing to large sold-out concert halls. Jessica has the better voice, by far. But Skylar has a great voice, but also knows how to work the audience and get them into her performances.

Skylar is the type they like on Country video and radio. She will be successful. I think that Jessica, Hollie, and Joshua all have even better voices. This has been one amazingly strong season for talent.

The song choices last night ( 5-16-2012 ) would not have been choices of mine. Especially those for little Jessica.
The last song for Phillip was a great choice. I'm just not sure about all the others.. What do you think???

Thought ALL of the 'judges' choices were awful. Song choice for P2 was a good one, I just didn't think he sang it well. Especially if you compare it to the vocal qualities of the studio version that Seger did.
