Are the Ku Klux Klan a political organisation in the states or just a group? Either way is the way to ban or make it illegal to be part of this group. It just seems that its abit strange how they are still so much in the media... news and espically movies!
Have the USA government tried to stop the people joining or tried to sieze their movement. It justs seem odd when they have been around for over a hundred years yet racial tension has died down and not as big but yet they are still about.

Due to freedom of speech as well as other freedoms it's perfectly legal although it's not as prevalient anymore...however there are still many people who are racists and and their views are beyond my comprehension....Hopefully we will live in a world where everyone will truly understand that we are all created equal....

are the numbers growing or in decline and are they still as publically violent as they were years back?

There are also many different Klan groups in differnt areas. how are these different?

They are declining as klan members and are now arian and other groups...gone are the white hoods...There are still a lot of racist people who think that the "white" race is the greatest......I do not believe this and do not raise my son to believe this we are all crated equal...But as far as the klan and arian nation goes there are differences the klan was very violent and was prone to keeping their identity hidden...The arian nation I am not too familiar with but I do know that they do not keep there identity hidden...

Just to answer some of your questions. Today's Klan is the 6th generation, which is a Christian organization interested in improving communities, political representation, and education. When an upstanding member of the white community wants to join they must not have participated in criminal activity in the past and swear to not participate in any crime while a member. Membership is automatically forfited if a Klansman commits a criminal act. Community service includes discouraging drug use, especially among minors. Today's Klan is NOT a violent organization, rather a group that will fight with words and educate with literature. I welcome your questions.

Yeah, because the Klan NEVER participates in untoward activity! They only inspire it! They are the least amazing of the crappy antisocial groups out there. A bunch of angry, uneducated, really offensively ugly white boys, usually with terrible hair cuts, because they cannot afford better, being ignorant and small, like their penises!

I think your words best define your intelligence. I would never post such vile words on a public board, but some people were never raised with common mannors. (which is also something that needs restoration in our country) Since you've been so quick to judge, personally I have only a bachelor's degree but I am married to a doctor. I worked in law enforcement for my carereer but now study law. We are simply a fraternal organization concerned with any decline of our communities, and stand up to crime which accompanies the same group of people over and over.
