Has music changed everything about your life?
Has music changed everything about your life? Have you noticed a difference in the way you think, sleep, hear sounds, and/or see the sights around you?
I just had a discussion with a friend about how we've noticed that music has changed everything about our person. I can see an obvious difference in how I think and sleep and hear sounds and the things that I choose to notice visually. I feel I've become more distant yet more perceptive. I hear things in music I would have never heard a year ago and I experience things differently.
I haven't tried any new drugs in a couple years, so I doubt it's that.. I really just think that I've expanded my musical preferences to include a lot more abstract, conceptual music and it's altered me. I really like it though. Hmm..
If I seem scattered it's because this realization has freaked me out haha.

Interesting post..I find that the music I really enjoy has changed a lot!!! I listen to a lot of Christian Music now more than ever before and I think this has a lot to do with the death of my husband......I can't explain how the transformation came to be due to the fact that for several months after he dies music especially Christian music would bring me to tears......But now I feel closer to God and my husband because he is there too when I listen to Christian music...I also like Country music now more than ever.....

I don't think that music can change one's personality. We are all born with some specific features. Music can help us in difficult situations. My favourite band is S.O.A.D and it really helps to stay in a good mood while you listen to it.Does anyone here like System of A Down????

Music cannot change a person. It can momentarily alter the mind, expand it, take it in a new direction. Music speaks to the part of the mind that many conside the soul. It can bend us, break us, take us over an edge, elevate us to a new understanding. However, we make our own changes. Music can be the catalyst, but we decide.
Music is powerful, and can make the body and mind react to it in a manner that makes us feel, at times, transformed. Music can open our minds and hearts, but then the song ends. It is up to us to keep the mood flowing.
Drugs and music, now there is a combo. Be wary of what the drugs make you hear. Enjoy, but listen to reality. Music can be your escape, as can drugs, but find the balance, lest your ears and mind be permanently damaged.

I've never heard of them. What kind of music do they play?
Personally, I like alot of R&B. I love me some Mary J.!!
I love to listen to dance music, especially Disco, while I'm getting ready to go out. It puts me in the right mood. Turn The Beat Around, baby!
Of course, my favorite singer is Cher. I could listen to her all day!

Yeah, Eileen, you're much deeper than that.
