How does this work?

Hey -- this is the first year I've watched. As most (probably all!) of y'all know, it quickly becomes addictive. So what I need to know is -- what happens next? Do they lose the bogus boy/girl thing and open the whole cast up for votes? Seems to me there are way more talented ladies than gentlemen, so by the time they cut the "final 12" in half and get to a "final 6" it should be Blake and the five amazing black women. Or do the rules say they have to have the audience "vote off" one girl, one guy, one girl, one guy, etc. Please educate me!

They vote off 1 girl and 1 guy each week from here on out. Even if ALL the guys suck and ALL the girls ROCK, one from each still has to go... blah
