For any concert...Has anyone ever had any? I have been fortunate enough to have had them more than once because I had a friend in high school that became a DJ...
The most memorable one was for a July 4th concert that was free the headliner was Joe Walsh now remember this was more than 15 years ago OK...Santana was supposed to be the head liner but due to something he couldn't make it...I believe it had to due with marijuana...
Anyway there were 4 or 5 acts and they were all big at the time and took turns being the headliner because they traveled from city to city in Texas back in the day...
So we eventually made our way back stage and there we are sitting on these uncomfortable bleachers, we can't see Joe only hear him and the sun is just beating down on me...So my friend and I get up and move to the wings of the stage I climp up on an amplifier or a speaker some big thing on the stage and just sit there enjoying the show...I am amazed that it's not real loud on the stage and actually quite nice...I am enjoying Joe sing his hit at the time..
Then all these people start to rush the stage and security takes them and throws them out of the venue...I continue to sit there..I am surprised that security is leaving me alone because there are about 50 of us with these back stage passes and I am the only one that is actually taken a seat on the stage obviously broken the rules...My friend tells me it's because I have the pass and I looked like I belonged...Well after Joe sang his really big hit Life's Been Good To Me...Love this song what a way to end a show!
He takes his leave and Governor Ann Richards helicopter lands and she takes the stage things really got ugly...People started throwing beer cans at her..They would not even give her a chance to talk...I was so embarrassed to be a Texan at that time no class she had her grand daughters with her...
OK now I am done with my 1st story I will wait for some of y'all music lovers to post your stories....
