Tonite on American Idol-Extra, when Ace was asked what he will take away from his American Idol experience he responded, "I've grown up and I've come out (pause) I'm totally out. I have no secrets." I played it back on TIVO three times just to be sure.

Unfortunately, the interviewer was such a "maroon" that instead of pouncing on the statement he just sat there, but I don't think there is any doubt as to what Ace was talking about. When someone goes on national television and says they've "come out" they don't mean "out of their shell".

Of course, many of us picked up on his "tendencies" weeks ago, but the Ace-Brigade did the "hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil" routine and wanted none of it. But cheer up girls, even if Ace is no longer bedroom material at least now you can take him shopping!!!!

To all Idol contestants:

When all else fails, and you find no one to love, there is always FRANK!!

He'll take your dumb, tired, your weak...and possibly your men too! ;)

I hereby challenge ANYONE on this forum to show that kind of love for the contestants!!!

Here's the link: AbsentElement's TV at home (http://www.americanidol.com). It will connect you directly to my DirecTV at home. AIE is on channel 101 and usually begins at the top of the hour. When you're done, feel free to browse through my list of saved shows. Please don't order any pay-per-view.

Lolita:

How are we supposed to link you to a television show? Look, I know your heart is in pieces having to deal with the fact that Little Acie is "light in the loafers" but that's the way it is.

Besides, I'm sure you still have your Justin Timberlake posters lying around.

I was thinking of just having Shirley MacLaine channel him for me. (No Lolita, you don't get that channel either.)

So Cloie it really seems to frost you that we were right and you were wrong---again. I thought by now you would be used to it! :D

Actually, it might be a good career movie for him. Unlike performers like Rose O'Donnel, Ellen Degennres or Margaret Choo there are few openly MALE gay actors in Hollywood. Maybe he'll be one of the first.

Unfortunately, he's not a comedian and his fan base is female so I don't know if women are going to get all hot and bothered over someone who prefers "jack" to "jill".

Come on, False, think really hard and come up with one to counter what Cloie said..... (*crickets*)..... You guys are too funny! Who cares if he's gay or not? I just take it as I see it. And go on. It's not like any of us know him personally or were dating him and he cheated on us with a guy, so... WHO CARES??

Why? When that special uh...err... "moment" arrives (after an hour of slow sensuous, excruciatingly delightful preparation) they are going to know it was yours truly and not Ace who got them there and they will undoubtedly be back for more.

I should deny them (and myself) that pleasure just because at the moment of truth they dig their nails into my back and scream, "Ace, you magnificent bastard!".

What? Are you kidding me????

I'm actually befuddled with this.

Are you sure False?

Because I was on AOL the other day, and saw an interview with Ace's girlfriend.

Is there a place where I could see the part for myself?

Or do they do reruns for American Idol extra.
This is the first time I've even heard of this....does it come on Fox?

I have Dish, and rarely pay attention to local channels, tuning in only for American Idol

Sure of what he said? Yes. Sure of what he meant by it? No.

But others have confirmed they heard the same thing. And we've already told you it was on a show called American Idol Extra.

As the saying goes, check your local listings.

Hey Falsie - i saw the whole video on AI Exta with Ace and he never even said that - what he said was "let me out - I'm ready" - and he was referring to his singing career! I think you best check your hearing cuz Ace is definitely NOT gay!!

How in the heck could you be sure of what Ace said? He never answered one question! I was so disappointed in his lack of personality and even in answering a question straight. (no pun intended). I did not get from what he said that he was gay - I got that what he was saying something like "I'm famous now, everything I do will be scrutinized and I'll be very careful about the decisions I make".. It took the long interview for me to figure that much out.

He doesn't seem to have much drive. He wouldn't even give his brother credit for the hair do on the songbook night without slamming him at the same time.

Nevermind. He's gone. We'll see him as often as we see Constantine.. like not much!!

Interview with Ace:

A lot of fans got to see the softer side of Ace when you revealed the scar on your chest. What's that from?
The scar is actually from a basketball game. I was playing outdoors — I went up in the air into a garden and landed on a bar that was supposed to hold up a tree, but there was no tree. It hit me in the chest and bent with me all the way to the ground. It split me right open, but thankfully it didn't hit me in the throat. I thought showing the scar was fitting with the song.

On Tuesday night you assured fans that even though your hair was slicked back you didn't cut it. Will you ever cut it?
I enjoy it. I enjoy having it. I like feeling it fall wherever God wants to let it fall. If people want me to cut it I will. If people start talking about it too much or not listening to what I'm saying or singing, I'll get rid of it.

Yeah, you don't want to become Michael Bolton. Anyway, Paula said you should be a TV or movie star. Any plans to go into acting?
I've done a little acting and I would love to get into more acting classes so I can experience more emotions that you go through as an actor. I'm so excited by this launching pad American Idol has given me. I see it as a starting point. So many people love me. It blows me away. I have people walk up to me and give me a sincere hug. They don't even say a word.

That sounds kind of creepy. Does it freak you out that you went from relative anonymity to a celebrity?
If you voted for me I'm going to hug you. I'm the youngest of five; I've always been the underdog, fighting for recognition. I had four older brothers who were gifted athletes, so I was always the one entertaining in the house. I was the one who settled the mood.

I don't think you'll have a problem getting recognition now.
I'm a people person. I can't wait to do the tour and see the millions of people who voted for me so I can give them the handshakes and hugs they so deserve. I'm so grateful. In Denver I had a group of people who go by ''Ace's High Rollers.'' Last week they raised $2,000 in my name and donated it to Denver Children's Hospital. It's amazing that people know me. They know I go to Children's Hospital every year and go from room to room and sing for people. I've done it seven years in a row and I'll do it again this year.

You've been performing in public since you were 11. Did you like doing mall gigs?
I'd sign pictures, dance, even rap a little. I liked Kris Kross a lot then.

Did you wear your jeans backwards?
No, but I wore a Braves hat everywhere because it had an A on it and I thought that was cool.

Will you be watching and voting for the remainder of the show?
Yeah, I'm going to vote, but based on the performances. I'm not going to stick to one person. You're going to have to fight for my vote.

What's next for you: Singing? Acting?
I'm doing Regis & Kelly tomorrow. Then I have press stuff until Tuesday, and then I'm going back to Colorado for a few weeks to give those hugs to everyone who voted for me and kept me there. I can't wait to see what opportunities come my way — modeling, acting, music, fundraisers. Even my personal life, I can't wait to see who knocks on my door.

Let's talk about your personal life. Some might say you're a sex symbol now.
[Coyly] Thank you, Jessica.

I didn't say I did. I said some do. I'm married.
Your husband's going to come find me on the basketball court. Well, I'm flattered that my name is out there, that I'm a household name. What a great starting point for me. If I'm going to be in the sex-symbol category, all I can say is I'm flattered and I'm still going to give you a hug if you voted for me. I'm still Ace. I haven't changed from day one here. I'm not going to change.

When you were out on the town during the show, did any women ever slip you their phone numbers?
Yeah, they did, actually.

Are you going to call any of them?
I let [brother] Ryan accept all of them. You'll have to ask him.

Okay, I'll check with your pimp brother about that one. But for all the ladies out there, you are still single?
Single and available. So is my 6-foot-7 brother.

Leaves me with more questions than answers....
