Upward be a hater if you want but Archy is going to be on the show til at least the final three. He will definitely have the best career of this years Idols.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he won....I don't think he has proven himself though....

THR right now it looks like Cook and Archy (I think I will call him that from now on) will certainly make it to the final three. I agree archy hasn't proven himself yet but I see the potential. Nobody here has proven him or herself yet. I can't see Jason holding on much longer. All the women are good but not one of them is really great IMO. Last year Blake held on til the end I think on virtue of the women splitting up the vote. I don't think he made it that far based on talent. I think one of the women might make it to the final with the two David's splitting the vote on the mens side.

THR Archy has taken more chances and done more variety than Cook who is doing about the same thing that Daughtry did. He takes every song and makes a rock version out of it. What chances is he taking and what variety is he showing. I like David Cook a lot but I don't think your argument holds up. Archy is taking chances singing songs that people don't allready know. As for the pre teen girls I think it is actually teen girls. If they scream for Archy what is wrong with that. Is your screaming for Cook more valid? I like them both.

I would like to see Archy take a Rock song and turn it into a ballad......I love ballads and Archy just doesn't do it for me....Clay Aiken so far out of all the AI seasons is the only one who could sing a ballad and make it believable......

I totally disagree about a few things...

First, so far David Cook has shown how distinctive he is in that he can take any song and make it his own. It just happens that "his own" is rock style. So what? What's wrong with having a style and being able to adapt songs to fit it? American Idol isn't trying to force people to adopt different styles, they are trying to challenge singers by forcing them to explore different genres to see if they can handle them. He's demonstrated that he's able to do so.

What I like about him is that he sings the songs. In the past, I thought that Daughtry yelled all his songs as he tried to show his "rocker" image. I didn't like him on the show. On his album, he actually sings, not yells, and he's really good. That's how David Cook is different - he sings now.

I am a tad worried though that he's getting too cocky. Simon's suggested it twice now, and David seems to be upset whenever Simon says it, but I can totally see it too, so I hope he heeds the warnings and tries to be a bit more humble.

Now for Archy. I can appreciate that he is very good, and I really liked his first two weeks, but I worried that with him being so good, that this really wasn't a competition, but when he blew it in Beatles week 1, he just has not impressed me. To me he's good, but I'm not sure what kind of music he'd record and sell well. He's cutesy, but that smile and '"gosh, golly, gee" sweetness has become tiresome. Grandmothers and little girls may like him, but he's not for me.

I think this grandmothers and little girls/pre-teen line is getting tiresome. How about the detractors come up with something original or take some chances. I am neither a grandmother or a little girl and I like Archy a lot. Everybody says how good he is but most around here don't want him to win. I might be among those people but for the reason that it might be bad for his career. It seems like people are getting bored with his simply being very good week after week. I doubt that Archy is getting most of his votes from little girls and grandmothers but if he is those votes are just as legit as anybody elses. As for the cuteness and sweetness thing I do agree that is working very much against him. It seems people don't want "cute" from a male contestant. If Archy doesn't win that will most likely be the reason.

I suppose vocally Jason is not in the same category as the 2 David's But I must say I think he seems just pleased to be where he is...He is appreciative and takes in all the judges have to say. Some see it has not caring or too laid back....I dont. I think he seems genuinely a bit shy and very much showing respect to the judges. Ok..can you tell I am a JASON fan.

I, too, like Jason, but he's not my fave. That honor goes to David Cook. Jason has been a little dull on occasion, which I can see why others may not like him. But, I agree, he does heed what the judges say, and does try to apply it. Personally, I loved this week's performance, but I wish he didn't have the uke. He didn't need it. He and David Cook are the ones who really try to make a song original. That's what the judges preach.

I also agree that Jason seems to be genuinely pleased to still be in this. I think he got a scare when he was bottom 3, and he's really trying to avoid it again.

I don't think David C. is cocky.....I think he is proud of his choices but not overly so. But then He's my favorite! :) I thought it was so...cute when he cried after hearing the judges comments after he sang "always be my baby" I just wanted to give him a big hug! :)

here in kcmo on the fox local news they said that david c's brother's cancer is spreading from his brain to his spinal column.

He was in the audience for the first time last tues.

he had to fly with medical assistants and it cost forty thousand dollars.

a radio station paid for it.

david c must be glad that he is able to make his brother proud of him.

It should have been an emotional overload for him. Being able to have his brother even with all the difficults that he is having at the moment should be something really special for DC. And it is nice to see that people support their favorites in such way that the radiostation paid for the trip of his brother to the show! That was really touching.

My sister told me about David Cook's brother being flown out with the Medical care and she almost started crying telling me about it. I can't imagine how tough that must be to carry on with the show while you are worried sick about your loved one. I was in school when my mom was dying and I had to quit because I couldn't deal with it at the same time, it was too tough. I give him credit for being strong enough to keep on going.
