Okay, I admit. I was one of the 13 people in the entire world that actually tuned in to watch ABC's abyssmal show, "The One: Making of a Music Star". And I KNEW I recognized Syesha Mercado from SOMEWHERE! She was one of the finalists on that show! She was good there, too. FUNNY THING... As soon as I posted this on the 'official' Idol website, the administrator removed it. Apparently, they don't want to talk about the fact that Syesha was on that show! They're probably right! :eek:

Well the girl can sing! I think the girls are better than the guys this year all in all....I really only liked 2 guys a bunch Jason Castro and Michael Johns....

This is the year for Fox to plant ringers. In addition to Syesha, Smithson has a big contract already, Carrico fronted for Spears, Johns was a lead singer for a recorded band, Cook recorded in Nashville, Castro dated the singer Cheyenne, Borgella won a 2005 pageant, Yeager was a top 25 finisher in the contest, "Making the Band", Archuleta won Star Search at 12, and White released an album in 2006. I know that none of this matters because Fox doesn't guarantee "undiscovered talent," but I hope everyone realizes how much they're being played for big bucks. What the heck, I'm still hooked, but I get mighty cheesed off by the "Oh Golly Gee" crap from these pros, and Randy and Paula's blatant cheerleading.

I am with Chopper on this one. but likewise, I watch the show every week just for the sometime delights of hearing someone sing.
