VFTW is still the biggest pile of hogwash I've ever seen.

The point that I think those people seem to totally miss is that American Idol is first and foremost a television show. It is not about trying to fins the most talented singers in the country. It is about trying to put on a television show that people will enjoy watching. But VFTW feels entitled to sabotage it because they view it as a farce. They are so far off base even Roger Clemens could pick them off them off !

I do think VFTW is a farce. But given that they think they're responding to a farce, well, okay. Problem is when other start taking them seriously. Even if these folks are 'ringers' or 'plants' (given all the blue tongues, I believe they're some type of house plants) so what? Like edge says, it's a TV show. It's about as realistic as WWF Wrestling..............

perhaps some insane botanist took a seedling and mixed it with human dna and added gentic code with SINGING ABILITY and after several years of trial and error managed to produce 24 singing plants that look remarkably human. But their blue tongues give the fact away that they are actually PLANTS!!

You got it! And given that El Chupacabra is a major league carnivore, they're in no danger of being wiped out by Chupi...............

Little do we all know, but Simon actually IS El Chupacabra! That's why he wanted Kyle Ensley in the competition. Fellow Chupacabra.....

Well, Sanjaya gave them an easy target. Who do they seem to be focusing on this year ?

If you'll remember last season, I said all along that Sanjaya would not win, in spite of VFTW and the youth vote. But I do think they might have had a hand in Sanjaya hanging around until it was almost too close for comfort. Sundance, Chris, Stephanie, Gina and who all else that went out before Sanjaya did could all sing circles around him. That was a total miscarriage of justice.

I also think Sanji was a good kid. But he had no business being in the top 24. I think the judges putting him in the competition to begin with was one of the factors that led to AI6 being such a disaster. They tried to continue the freak show that is the auditions into the regular season (you can't tell me those were the 24 best vocalists out of all the auditions they held) and it showed. Sanji may yet morph into a good vocalist, but he does need to mature quite a bit.

Last year was a disaster....Here's hoping that the one they do decide to back will have talent so that we are not exposed to the same cr*p as last year....

Or at least let's hope they don't bring in Tiny Tim as a coach.......
