Just wondering the number of ways that AI results can be rigged...
My thoughts. If I wanted to win. I just ask the 3 judges to give me a good "appraisal", which will influence Americans to vote for me.

How else can AI be rigged?

I heard something about this during the first season. Something with them annoucing the winner before the votes were cast or something.

I'll see if i can find anything on it.

No way. Impossible.

it's too big for something like that to happen. I just can't imagine.

I think the show is too successful for them to let that happen.

I agree with Dillion shows that big have too many people watching.

I think the final 24 can be rigged, since the judges are the ones who widdle down the selection down that far.

Once America starts voting, though, I"m not so sure. Unless the producers or whatever go so far as to fake the actual numbers for a particular contestant. If they did, us viewers would be none the wiser. :flamethro

Just about anything is possible in tv land.......

I think it can be. AI3 is the best example in my opinion. How on earth did Fantasia and Diana get to the final two? LaToya London should have been American Idol! At the very least, the final two should have been LaToya and Fantasia. :p

I think the judges decide who leaves based on the reponses from these forums!

I believe the results could be rigged but for legitimate and legal reasons. One example is Constantine. I believe it was not coincidence that his band cut a deal to distribute their album with Constantine as the lead, just before the results show. I'm sure it was a breach of AI contract. I was thinking that if he didn't get the boot, he would have had unfair advantage and voila, the boot.

I loved Fantasia!! She had personality and spunk and great vocals. Latoya was really good too, but just don't think she had the same fan base. If someone is so truly talented and gets kicked off before the finale, surely someone would pick them up and make superstars out of them. I don't see Latoya hitting the top 10, although she is doing okay.

American Idol is very rigged if all the judges say good comments they most likely will stay and it is not even a singing contest anymore just a popularity contest, which is why so many good singers have been kicked because of how they look, etc.

I definitely think its rigged. I agree with season three. LaToya should have been in the top two if not the American Idol. Have you heard her new CD? Fabulous. I think the judges can give such good reviews that people vote purely on that. I also think that they can lie about the numbers.

Vote off Kelly. Don't give her a sympathy vote!
