Are there things that would prevent you from having a relationship with someone, even if you really liked them. Sos tells me that if I were a vegan, the real militant type, he couldn't be with me. If he were one of those people who didn't shower often, I couldn't be with him.

So what are your deal breakers? (Besides religion and politics, please)

A deal breaker for me would be a man that lies....unless of course he tells me that is the best dinner he ever had and I knew it sucked! My husband did that one time and I told him I will save the leftovers for you because I can't eat this.....Lol he was right behind me ready to throw it down the garbage disposal and then he took me out to eat..

we have certain things in mind when we choose people who we are going to involved with.

here are some issues:
smoking
what we watch on tv
arguing over small things
vegetarianism/ important issue here when it comes to cooking

I included arguing over small things because i was married to a man who could find the smallest thing to have a huge fight over.

I couldn't be with a person who had teeth in inappropriate places.

Also- no vegans, like FK says. Man that would suck! Going out for dinner is a big deal for me, and if I have to go to Morton's or RuthChris and my lady can't eat anything, neither of us would have a good time.

I am with you on the Vegan thing my cousin was a vegan God Rest His Soul and it about drove me nuts...No pun intended that is about the only thing he would eat! No butter of course and no margarine....No bread, no fish, no honey, no leather, no silk, the list was constantly being updated..

I don't think that's very healthy, especially for a man, or even worse for a growing boy.

Males need a significant amount of protein to build muscle. We're built for that. Vegan diets can be dangerous for some because it can deprive your body of proteins and oils that it needs (this is where the term "stinky vegan" came from, because the lack of certain oils in the skin makes for a peculiar odor.)

Women also need iron and those same oils to regulate body fat and allow for proper menstruation. This is why strict vegans can develop things like osteoporosis or even sterility! It is also based on your genetic pre-disposition to a certain diet.

Other countries and cultures of the world are vegetarian and/or vegan, and this suits their dietary genetics (an example is cultures in India, many of which follow vegan/vegetarian diets). Their bodies are more accustomed to a vegetarian-type diet which is why they can do this in relative health.

Many Americans can't. Many of us are from "meat and potato" eating cultures, so our bodies need to process animal proteins to be healthy (Just not too much! We get fat doing that!). It also explains why FK can eat potatoes that would make me balloon up like a whale- my dietary background is fish, meat, and rice. Likewise- she can't eat as much rice as I can, as her body is used to potato starches, not rice starches.

And neither of us can eat Krispy Kremes without getting fat.

I still love Krispy Kremes though...

bad teeth...the 18 that remain may be a little on the Lemon colored side but still functional.

lazy...I hav ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Another deal breaker for me is someone who is unreliable. I have been stood up twice in my life (yes, it is true) and once was on Valentine's Day. Both times, I cried my eyes out and vowed never to see the guy again. Both times I was an idiot! I was young and stupid and still did not understand my worth!

I hate people who make promises and break them, people who cannot be counted on for anything, people who build up hopes only to dash them. I find people like this to be worthless. It boils down to trust.

SoS is probably the only other person in this world, beside myself, that I know, upon whom, I can count. He is really the only person on this earth I trust. It is one of the reasons we are together. I know that when he says he will do something, he will. His word and commitments are very important to him. I believe that to be the hallmark of a great man. In fact, I think he is more reliable than I am most of the time. That is hard to admit, but it is true:)

We picked out and bought SoS's wedding ring this evening. It is made out of Tungston, a hybrid of Titanium and some sort of steel. It is supposedly the strongest metal in the world. It suits him, and our relationship, I hope! It is a darker silver, extremely simple, and very sleek. The best bit is, although I would have gone to the store and picked out EXACTLY the same ring, we went together, and my choice was his as well. Kind of like how he picked my ring. My diamond is nearly perfect, and absolutly beautiful, very flashy, but with a very small flaw. I cannot see it, but he can. He had the choice between it and another, one that was perfect, but smaller and somehow less. I think it suits me, because I cannot always see my flaws, but he can, loves me anyway, and has still chosen to 'purchase' me. He took me to have it reset, and the lady looked at me and recommended a particular setting that she said looked like me. It fit me perfectly as well. I think it just may be the most beautiful ring in the world, but I am more excited about the person who purchased it!

I know that jewelry is a poor investment, that it means nothing in the grand scheme of a relationship, and that it is just for show, but I think our wedding jewelry has a new meaning for me now. It represents us, individually and our love together. I find that to be very beautiful. That, and our hands are gonna look bitchen!!!

There's a real hot chick at work. She's one of the cutest girls, I've ever seen.

However, she talks like Fran Drescher. That's definately, a deal breaker.

I cringe when she gets on that walkie-talkie.

Actually, she's not married.

I always thought Fran was hot looking, but that voice just kills it.

I hope SoS kept his receipt. It would be wise for him to take another walk through the "Five & Dime", one last time. :D

WTF are you talking about? Trying to spoil something so beautiful well it won't work and if I were you I would use my words more carefully.....Just a bit of advice from someone who has been around here quite a bit longer than you.;)

Most definately. She's a hottie. She also seems like the type that would love some good old fashioned rough sex.

Bad teeth
Lazy
non-worker
poor with finance
body builder type
someone who watches EVERYTHING he eats
low testosterone level

My fav man is one who completely has it going on, but doesn't feel the need to prove it to you. He one sitting back, not aggressive but patient. And when the time is right, he shows you why he doesn't have prove anything.
