why can't we vote the worst out?

why can't we vote the worst singer out of the competition everyweek?
I believe the passion of hate is much greater than love in u.s.a.
by voting the worst idol out the competition each week it will increase the number of callers for sure!

Because of all the hate and jealousy out there, some people would vote the best contestant(s) off just to be spiteful... Oh, why can't we live back in the old days where people loved other people??? Instead, we live in the era of Speed-Dial. People will either sit for 2 hours voting over and over for the cotestant they love or will sit for 2 hours voting over and over for the contestant they want to be kicked off the show... Either way, it sucks. I think they should be able to place a ban on votes: if you call in and vote for a contestant, you can't vote for that contestant again from that phone number. That's the only way it'll truly be a "fair" game... But nowadays, who cares about "fair"? :(

Well look at me. I thought it might be simplier than that. Maybe we all just like different people, and vote that way.
How do you vote the best contestants off? Is there a number to call to deduct votes? If they are the best in enough peoples eyes, it wouldnt matter if I voted for someone for 2 hours. Think about it, It usually takes me 10-15 minutes to get through the first time. So how many times could I vote in two hours? Not enough to do this hate voting you talk about.

Its not about jealousy, its about peoples favorites and different taste. We seem to come up with all sorts of reasons why our favorite is not doing well or went home. But its quite simple, not enough followers.

i just don't understand why vote for the worst singer is a bad idea.
so no matter what style or race you are. as long as you don't suck that bad
you will be fine until maybe top 4th or 5th. it's more fair imo. because i find it's easier(accurate) to pick the worst singer than the best singer. for example season 4.
i think carrie(country), bo(rock) anwar(soul/blue) nikko(r&B) they are all extremely good in what they do. but anwar and nikko didn't survive very long at all. but if we vote on who is the worst then the result would be so different.

Geez Louise, it's a figgin talent contest. It's bad enough people act in spiteful hateful ways in real life, must we lobby for a system that allows people to vote that way as well?
