AT&T will offer a version of an iPhone that runs on a faster wireless network so users can get speedier results when surfing the Web. :boldred:
The move would address one of the main drawbacks about the smart phone made by Apple.
The existing model sells for $399.
The difference in performance is similar to a dial-up Internet connection versus a high-speed broadband connection.

I think the iphone is cool. I'm a big fan of smartphones, but unfortunately my work is on a BES server so I'm using a Blackberry instead.
My only issue with the iphone is watching other guys at the airport. I spend a lot of time at airports for work, where using your phone is like a "sport". With all the people thumbing Blackberries, texting, or talking too loudly about stuff no one else cares to hear, the iphone guys are slamming their fingers on that phone and trying to keep the surface clean.
I don't think the problem is the phone...it's these idiots that think they can get their phone to work by crushing it with a single digit.
I sometimes read IdolMe in the terminals, you just have to scroll past a lot of images everytime the page loads, but it works fine.

I love mine... saves me from having to take my laptop on short 2-3 day trips. The *other* faster network that At&t has will be much better.

What I like is Windows Mobile and true functionality with the files. Blackberries have to use a different software, and all you can do most of the time is view files.
One question- do you have to sync an iphone or does it have something similar to PUSH technology?

I use an HP with Windows mobile. Works pretty good. But I travel very little so I don't normally surf with it. Never have used a "Crackberry" though. But from what I've seen, the thumbwheel is the biggest plus with them.
But I've even used the GPS in my HP to navigate on some of my road trips. Tiny screen, but it works okay.

The GPS on my "Crackberry" has saved me in numerous trips when I need directions.
The newer ones like mine use a rollerball which is cool, but I was an old PDA user and used to type with my stylus. Last summer I bought a smartphone and loved it, but had to trade it in for a Blackberry when IT told me my phone wouldn't get work email. :(
I'm one of those guys who uses EVERY feature of a phone. Weird.
