Do you invite people over just because they are family??? I'm sure every family has one or two people they just can't stand... do you still invite them over for the holidays??? AND... why can't you stand them???

No. I try to invite as few people over as possible. As I get older I like my privacy more. I get invited to a lot of events and attend about 2% of them. I have a cousin I can't stand. He hates everyone and everything. He's just a very unhappy camper. I'm working on him.:)

I like when people eat and run. I don't like them to stay too long. So, I don't usually invite people, who like to linger.

There is one family member that I do have some issues with. I still invite her, but in my mind I sometimes hope she does not come. She is who she is and she is not going to change.
I do seem to have the ability to totally ignore her when necessary. lol
Its kinda sad to feel that way about anyone, totally not my nature to be mean to someone.....so yes I always still invite her!

I think we all have family members who we have difficulties with. It is hard around the holidays because we HAVE to see them. The one great thing about having them into your home is that when they start acting like jerks, you can say that they may either knock it off or leave your home! Pretty empowering actually!

Agree. That is a good point. I have never had to ask someone to leave my home but I would if I felt the situation called for it.

I like to invite people over that like to drink heavily. We get pretty tore up, while watching the game, then turn on some loud music, and get really crazy. Some stuff gets broken, but it's all in good fun.
