This show really needs some major retooling. Maybe new judges, maybe a different contestant selection process. Only let good singers in. No more William Hung wannabees.

I like Kelly Clarkson, she can sing. Did I enjoy McPhee, not really. She isn't likable. I think that she's a poser. She may get a contract out of this but she will never be a multiple platinum winning artist like Clarkson and Underwood. I don't see her winning. Maybe final four, but I see Chris winning, why because it's the "Rockers" turn.

Winners: Bucky and Pickles. Both were expected to fail miserably but probably did well enough (given their fan base) to get by this week.

Losers: Ace. HORRIBLE song choice. Chris, as his performance was rather dull and it might knock him back a bit. He showed some mortality.

Okay, I'll be the first to admit it, I was cringing as the "American Idol" theme song started in the beginning. I was expecting song brutality in the first degree. Then, as, one by one, the contestants sang the songs, I became more and more pulled into the show. TV Magic? No, I believe it was, oh my gosh, it was actual talent from the contestants! Well, at least some of them... I have to say, I voted (for the first time last night) for more than one contestant! I'd (also have to say for the first time) that I'm not sure who the bottom 3 will be. I know 2 that will be there, but three? Well, didn't Queen night surprise us all! Who woulda thunk it? :laugh:

My view on last night:

Elliot - I think he sounded the best out of everyone. Last night he finally did something worth watching over.

Chris - Before, I would've been Chris is the frontrunner, but I don't know, he's been slipping lately. I wouldn't be surprised if he was in the bottom three. I agree with Simon he should've chosen a different song for us to connect with. I think he out of everyone is the only one that you can actually connect with when he's singing. I want him to win, but he needs to really step it up like the way he use to sing.

Katharine - Of course, she sounded good, she didn't pick a rock song, if she did it would've sounded horrible. After last night, my view of Katharine has changed a little and I don't want to say it, but the way things are going we are going to have another female winning. I don't want her to win. I'm still waiting for her to actuallly blow me away.

Paris - I don't know, I wasn't really feeling Paris, she looked the part, but it wasn't a great performance or song. I like Paris, but I think her days are numbered. I think she is the only one who needs to be on her game everytime because their are other people no matter how they sound are still going to stay.

Taylor - Taylor shouldn't be named American Idol this year. I mean the whole dancing thing he does is not working and even if he wasn't dancing and just singing, it would be boring. A columnist said that he is a wedding singer, Simon said he's drunk and I would have to agree with them.

Kellie - Kellie has never been in the bottom three and I think I know why Votefortheworst.com is up. The same columnist said that Kellie was safe because of sites like this and they are not supporting her, their making fun of her. All Kellie fans, she doesn't have a strong fan base, people just want someone to laugh at and trust me she gives you something to laugh at. On a positive note she did alright last night.

Bucky - I'm really surprised how good he sounded last night. I can't say that alot. I think he is going to be the most improved one out of everybody. He's getting a lot better everytime he sings. Bucky still needs to go and try out for Nashville Star, but I don't think he should be in the bottom three tonight.

Ace - I guess all you Ace fans know now, he can't sing. If he's not singing in the same falsetto everytime, he's not going to be able to sing. My theory on Ace was right, he's the type that can sing really low key, but once he gets out of it, he can not sing at all.

Bottom line, Ace should be the one sent home tonight and if he isn't this is truly a beauty contest. Watch its going to be somebody like Paris or even Chris.

Paris gave the worst performance last night! She looked frieghtning in her cat woman outfit!
Chris was his usual boring self!
Elliott held my attention for about 30 seconds!
Kellie was better than I expected!
Taylor put his heart into it! (he would have done better without the running all over the stage and the kicks)
Bucky put too much country into fat bottom girls.

Ace put a nice spin on We Will Rock You! That song never sounded so good!
I think he intimidated "Queen"! They relized he had better ideas then they did and wanted to squash his spirit!! They didn't Hopefully America will appreciate Ace for his Artistic Talent!

Katherine stole the show!!! She was OUTSTANDING!!!

Although I am a Creed/Scott Stapp fan and knew the song What If, it was a poor choice as was his Queen song. He is the most talented but if he is going to sing for himself instead of us, he is on his own as far as I'm concerned.

O.K. let me try to explain this to you. What I meant by saying last night "the losers are", was that we were robbed of one hour of our lives, not that each of us are losers. Sheese.
As for myself not being able to "Know" good talent when I see or hear it well that is a subjective observation on your part. I make no claims to being a talent scout. But if you were to re-listen to all of last night's performances with out video, you would hear and know what I'm saying is true. I cannot see any of these singers getting any radio airplay with what I heard last night.

Elliot is my sentimental favorite. I know he isn't going to win, but the guy rocks the freakin house.

I'll admit I loved Katharine's vocals, but I'm getting tired of her and Chris. Both are excellent and either could justifiably win, but I'm hoping to see them reconnect with the audience.

I was surprised at how well Paris put her song together. Still can't stand her- but I have to give it up to her- she did well. Bucky did extremely well in terms of song choice and his rendition of it. Loved it. Kellie did alright up until the point where she asked "paaayyypurrr?" (English: paper). I won't miss her for a second if votefortheworst.com slips up this week.

I really hated Ace and Taylor's performances. Taylor picked a perfect song, but his vocal was off. Ace picked a horrible song, and his vocal was predictably off.

We need Elliot to stay another week and wake up the frontrunners of this competition. Otherwise the show will continue to lose my attention.

Ace was definately a disgrace. I was kind of on the fence about Ace, but after last night, I'm not he needs to go. If his performance wasn't that bad, I would say that Kellie or Bucky need to go like I normally do , but it really was awful, it's like he wasn't even singing. The song was too much for him, that's the song Chris should've sung, but Ace chose the song and I don't know why and it just proves the point that Ace isn't that good.
