I'm a diehard Ace's fan.Someone posted saying only 16 years old kiddos and desperate housewives vote for Ace. Any guys out there who are Ace's fans?

That's funny. No straight guy would vote for Ace.

And really, I do think only hormonal adolescents & horny housewives vote for him. No offence.

I'd never vote for him. Then again, I don't like many guys that sing in the range he uses. Myself, I find it irritating.

Actually, all the women on Desperate Housewives could do far better than ACE----I believe the comment was that his fan base was teeny boppers and frustrated housewives. :D

Ain't no guys voting for Ace. My vote is going for Chris and I wish everyone would just put all their energy into voting for Chris. Forget Ace, if this was a modeling competition, him and Katharine would win hands down.

HMM I think its like my "straw in a glass" theory.
Some guys just wont use a straw (unless the cup has a lid) I think because they think its unmanly.
I think some men may not vote for Ace because he's really getting bashed about his sexuality, and it might not look manly.

Well I am not 16 and I'm not desperate, nor frustrated, nor a housewife!
I vote for Ace...
SO theory BUSTED!

I think people were thinking more along the lines of his largest fan base. That is not to say there aren't some people from other demographic groups that aren't voting for him too.

Actually, I haven't voted for Ace at all this entire competition.

I'm a guy, but I don't think Ace is American Idol material.

Compared to the others, he's a league behind Kat, Chris, Paris, and Taylor.

Precisely. If Ace were a much better singer, then maybe more guys would vote for him like they vote for Chris or Taylor.

And who says that it's unmanly to drink through a straw?

Most of my manly guy friends do that.

Oh, I took it as a joke. But I have seen some men who wouldnt. Overall, of coarse it doesnt mean a thing.

You are a secure man. Good for you.

Let's see, this afternoon you said men who suggest Ace might be gay must be gay themselves, now men who don't vote for Ace are insecure. What's it going to be tomorrow----Men who don't vote for Ace are un-American?!?

Here's a novel thought, maybe men who don't vote for Ace just don't think he is worthy of their vote---no strings attached.

Naw, too simple I guess.

Earlier you were saying, straight guys would not vote for ACE, now you are saying if he is better, then maybe he will fish more votes. So, he is straight after all???
More guys voting for Chris and Taylor?? Based on your assumption only???

When I said that straight guys wouldn't vote for Ace, I wasn't even referring to his sexuality. Straight guys wouldn't vote for male contestants if they aren't impressed by their singing. Period.

And no, it isn't based on my assumption. I'm only saying that because it seems in general, guys who watch the show & who vote seem to prefer Taylor & Chris. That's all. No need to take everything literally.

Ace being a little fruity has nothing to do with my voting. I just don't like his singing style. He bores me. I'm a big Elton John and Freddie Mercury fan and everybody knows they're as queer as a three dollar bill.

YES! I am VERY secue and have always been!
Ace is not my fav but I have voted for him.
Let's be real, Ace has fans male and female, just like all the other contestants.(Some hetero and some not just like with the other contestants)
From what I see Ace has given no indication of being gay, Ryan even told the ladies that Ace was a bachelor. I Do not care if I am wrong.

Women love this hack. He can't sing, and he's quite scary looking. He has a little Ted Bundy working when he looks into the camera, shakes his left hand, and goes into his goofy falsetto voice. OBTW, he always seems to end songs with that Falsetto voice, sort of like Fantasia saying yeah yeah yeah at the end of all of her songs. Your analogy about the straw in the glass being unmanly, where did you get your information from? I don't get the relevance to the topic. I don't vote for Ace because of of the Manly factor, or the resemblance to certain mass murderers of history, I don't vote for him because he can't sing.

Falseidol,
Where did you get that cloie said "men that don't vote for Ace are insecure"?
Did you make that up, or can you direct me to that quote?
You seem quite good at turning words around!

Yes. Obviously, I was trying to make a point to someone who didn't understand. Sometimes, they only understand if you state the obvious.

Just like I'm doing here.
