You're right.
If impeached for anything, it should be the failure of the administration to carry out (administer) the immigration laws and secure the borders. But there should be a long list of presidents that should have been impeached for the same offense. But, for the sake of argument, he is impeached and convicted by the Senate (highly unlikely, but let's assume it happens) then who takes his place? Then you get Cheney. Okay, then someone is appointed to take Cheney's spot as VIPER, who would that be? I just don't see anyone that might step into one of those spots that could potentially be an improvement.

I would not want to impeach Bush without impeaching Cheney they are both war profiters....

I agree with you there it won't happen but I would be thrilled of it were to happen...
If Con-gress actually did its job and followed the Constitution, there would have been more impeachments. Then again, just need to remove one from office to send the message. And I do think there are grounds to impeach just about any POTUS in recent history.
But, it isn't going to happen in this case.
