Prince is definitely not going to appear on the show - he could not fit it into his schedule and besides that he hates American Idol

Wow! What "Family" songs could the Idols perform? Maybe Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, maybe 1999...I don't know, most of his songs would probably not be considered appropriate for American Idol. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Prince, think he is very talented, I would love to see him on AI! I just think it would be a challange to make the show "family appropriate." (Maybe they could do a late nite AI and make it more "adult appropriate")
