Whether you're a full-fledged member of the "Soul Patrol" or just on the fence about Taylor, you're sure to enjoy this. I have created a playlist that includes the songs from his Under The Radar CD and the first few songs he performed on American Idol 5.

Check it here and let me know what you think!

I know enough to get by, but I'm not much of a computer guru, so if it doesn't work for you, I apologize. I know it works fine on IE 6.0.

Enjoy!

If he's already recorded with a band, why is he on AI? I thought the show was supposed to be for people who weren't recording artists?

They just can't be currently under contract. I'm sure there's probably something that says they cannot have previously signed with any big lables and probably something that defines any particular 'big' lables (like Sony, RCA, etc.) Chris Daughtry is in the same boat. His band has recorded before, and he has a LOT of performing experience.

The thing is, the producers just have to draw the line somewhere. So where do you draw that line? If Taylor went to the local recording studio and produced the CD himself (not saying he did), should that make him ineligible? What if he has a home recording studio (as many amateur musicians, who are as much into music as him, do)? Truth is, many of the idols have some degree of professional experience (and by 'professional', I simply mean they have been paid to perform or record). For me, as long as they're playing by the rules established by the producers, it's fine.

I get you. Thanks for clearing that up. After all, several are current performers in one way or another. Mandisa sings for Beth Moore when she's on the road (another group of women sings for her when she's in Houston, and they're all VERY talented singers). I think Bucky sings honky tonk tunes somewhere as well.

Oh, darn. Doesn't work for me. I only have four of those songs in my iTunes library at the moment. I was hoping I could hear more. :(

Thanks anyway, Absent. :)
