I did NOT see this coming! I only voted for her once last night and that is 'cause I just figured she would have no troubles getting votes. I took all my time to vote for Bucky 'cause I was worried it could be him. This actually pisses me right off that Mandisa is going home. I almost cried! She is so talented and beautiful. I wish her all the best and I dread breaking the news to my husband. We both loved Mandisa!

I didn't see this coming either! I'm seriously about ready to start crying, I'm so disappointed right now. Its just wrong, she shouldn't have went home especially when you like back at the last couple performances. I love Mandisa, I think she was the only one out of this bunch who could actually sing. I was hoping she would win, but obviously not. I just don't understand at all, especially with Ace, kellie and Bucky still on there. I haven't really liked them at all from the beginning, I dont know how they have lasted this long. Its just really unfair. I'm down to rooting for Chris and Elliott, we'll see how long they make it, I have a feeling not too much longer. If they leave which they probably will just by the way things are going, I don't think I will watch after that. Other than Mandisa, Chris and Elliott I think this season was really a disappointment compared to last.

Well, I guess people took for granted that Mandisa was going to breeze through to the Top 5 or maybe Top 3, as I myself thought. Too bad that there are people like you who just thought she had enough support so they didn't vote for her. And that's a damn shame... I appreciated Mandisa's immense talent and, although she is not my favorite (Elliot, Katharine and Chris are my faves), vocally, Mandisa is easily one of the most vocally talented in this current edition of A.I.

I saw it coming, this year is really becoming a beauty contest. If you look at other blogs you will see everyone saying, "ACE is so HOT." What does that have to do with talent? "Kellie is so cute." If you put a ton of makeup on a monkey it would be cute too! The truth of the matter is neither can sing at this magnitude, they have weak ranges, they crack, they pick weak songs....but they are still here because America likes looking at them. It really upsets me, if I wasn't routing for Elliot, I wouldn't bother watching anymore. If I wanted to watch the Miss America contest I would. I tune in to see real singers show case their vocal talents. Not to see ACE shake and Kellie walk around the stage (which she does so no one will notice that she really can't hold a note).

Maybe if I dress up my dog and pin a note on his collar saying that he was taking from his family at a young age, and forced to live with strangers that make him eat out of a dog dish, and besides that everyone calls his mom a b***h he could be on AI. He is a blonde. Heck, I could train him to howl when music is played!!! Hmmm...wonder if he could make the final four? :p

I highly doubt my 30 votes would have made a difference in her outcome. But again, if I had realized she was in danger all of the votes would have gone to her. And also I have not said that I prefer Mandisa over Bucky. I really love them both! I don't agree necessarily agree that one singer is more talented over the other, but it all boils down to what kind of music each person likes. Thank God we all have different tastes! Was sad to see Mandisa go? YES! Would I rather have had Bucky go? NO! Let's face it, I committed no crime! I really wish Mandisa well. She is a beautiful lady with tons of talent and I'm sure she'll go far with or without AI!

This is exactly why AI producers won't release the weekly voting tabulations. They want you to vote for the contestant who "inspires you" (whether it is because of their singing, looks, background or combination thereof)---not because you are trying to "save them" from extinction.

Mandisa is gone because she deserves to be gone. She made two hideous song choices and America retialiated. Personally, I liked her. But if someone I knew ever made the show the first thing I would do is tell them to hire an agent from IMG or one of the other Hollywood firms to help guide them with make-up, wardrobe and the most important category---SONG SELECTION.

You're trying to win a contract worth millions of dollars. Getting up a singing a particular tune because it was "Grandma-Nana's favorite song when she was 12" is Idol suicide.
