Soon - believed to be July / August.. the whisper has it that he may also do more than a few shows, believe LA may also be lucky. (Reece from our forum, who lives not far from NY, said it will be cheaper for her to fly there than to dive up quickly to NY).

Prinia is in Europe and I noticed she hadn't been able to drop in and update this.

OK. It wasn't just a rumour. It's official.

Guy will be recording an album in Memphis at the Stax Studios with the original Stax band - yes, Steve Cropper, Booker T and Co. I kid you not. He should be leaving for Memphis fairly soon - supposely will be there most of August. Apparently Sony put out some feelers to the Stax band about Guy and they're all steppin' up. Now, given that the likes of Steve and Booker are total legends that just about anybody would kill for the opportunity to work with, we're all pretty happy and Guy will be so blissed out he'll probably forget to sing!

latest from John Fry (and confirmed by Titus Day, Guy's manager), that release of the Memphis album is 17 November, TV special 4 December, and there will be a lead up of 2 weeks of Sunrise (see Kelly's thread) - I am esp. happy atm because friend has managed to slip me a special from the Charity Ball a couple of weeks ago - Guy's voice is so strong, more so than ever (and anyhow hearing him sing "The Blood" at the Metro opening will know he was powerful then). That incredible resonance that we get, that's not always apparent on the amateur vids is stunning

Field Trip! Yes! I think we need to start them working on the Guy Sebastian exhibit. When this album comes out, he certainly will fit into the "Here and Now".
