Mark McGrath,
he's a pretty smart guy and has a good understanding of music. It was nice to see him judge.

I can't think of any of the guest judges I really liked. I think the ones in auditions last year were probably the best ones because at least they displayed some flashes of honesty and truth.
The ones who actually appeared on past shows were rarely honest or truthful and ended up just being a Paula Abdul Doppleganger.
Now that I think about it though, QT was a guest judge and I thought he was okay, although a little too nice.

Perhaps the next judges should be people like him who don't just tell them to **** off, but actually tell them what would be better in some more positive way!!

I liked LL as well. I'd also like to see Russell Simmons or Puffy judge too, they know alot about music and can see talent the minute it walks in the door.

Puffy would be a good judge. Only problem is he could not get up and just walk away in the middle of the show when he got bored like he does on Making the Band.

LOL the guy from KISS. I think he's a little burnt out to be a judge.

LL was definitely a good guest judge. I never miss the show, and I think the guest judges kind of give us a break from the regulars. I'd like to see some changes made with the judges. Same ones every year gets a little old.

It really annoys me when people come down so hard on Simon. Why? Because he's HONEST? Because he tells people like it is and doesn't sugar coat everything? If people can't handle the truth, then perhaps they should go and bury their heads in the sand and wait for the next century to come around. I think all of the judges do their part, and I like them all. But if I had to choose my favorite, it would be Simon - hands down. Have you listened to some of the people who truly think they can SING and try out for American Idol? Personally, I think he's doing them a huge favor and they should all be thanking him. If there were more people like him in the world, we wouldn't have all these idiots who've been told by one person or another that they sing well (simply to "spare" their feelings) and it would be far more easier to sort through all the riff-raff to find our next American Idol who truly CAN sing! I mean, come ON already people! Have you actually listened to yourselves sing? Be HONEST with yourselves and hold on to your dignity and don't try out if you can't carry a tune to save your soul - spare yourself the humiliation! I can't imagine how it would feel to have the entire world laughing at me - but I guess some people must enjoy that.

I agree with you! People bag on him way too much, he's just telling the truth.
GO SIMON!

Simon may be honest, but there is a differnce between being honest and being mean. He claims he's deliberately mean to discourage people who really have no business wasting their lives in the deluded hope of fame - an admirable concept, but still - too cruel I think. You can be blunt and honest without telling someone they have "the personality of a hippo" or some of the other scathingly mean things he says.
I like Simon and I think he makes the show in many ways, but I agree that he's too harsh - but then, people watch because of him.

Exactly, ya I know he is honest, and his honesty is harsh. But I mean the guy's just telling you what is on his mind. But well I guess sometimes he is quite well.. TOO harsh. I love watchin him though, but I don't watch IA because of him though.

Well, I don't like it when they have guest judges. Seems to me they are mostly trying to be nice. They don't exactly give an honest opinion. Thats what I think.
