How much is regular unleaded in your neck of the woods? It's $3.50-ish in Northern Cali.

Same here. I was in New York over the weekend and paid $3.29 for regular. I work in the city so I've started taking the bus and subway. It's cheaper that way. This is highway robbery.

I saw that congress isj ust now starting to consider a bill abut gas gouging... they are about 2 years too late and even if they do create a bill that will take a least 5 years to vote on it and 3 years before it becomes in effect.
The oil companies bragged last year that they had made huge windfall profits.
This whoe country is going to go into a depression because a few rich men wan to get richer.
The oil companies simply cannot keep on charging outrageous prices.
Well if they'd work with the oil companies perhaps they could be encouraged to build a new refinery. The rise in gasoline prices are being pushed by lack of refining capacity, not crude prices. There hasn't been a new refinery built in the US in over 30 years. And there are a LOT more vehicles on the road now than 30 years ago.

We do need some new refineries I remember when I lived in San Antonio I was going out with this who shall remain nameless......but he used to take me out to his oil fields and show me how they separate the water form the oil...he told me that the refineries were in not such good shape and we needed more also they are very expensive it sure would be nice for them the government to help in building some new refineries after all they do tax us on each gallon...Wisconsin has one of the highest state taxes for gasoline...it's time they gave back....btw my friend is now in south America building a pipeline....
