What I noticed about Melinda Fans

Since Melindas departure, I've noticed that the so called Melinda fans dont do her justice. It's obvious that Melinda is a supporter of Blake and Jordin but her fans on this board and other boards do nothing but bash the two finalists and whine about Melindas departure to no end. Even the author of Yahoo Report Card is doing the same thing...has nothing but negative things to say about Blake and Jordin. Melinda fans need to GET OVER it and stop all the whining because they just look like a bunch of cry babies. I thought there would be some positive posts about last nights finale but all I read was a bunch of whining and crying just because their beloved Melinda was not there. I'm a Melinda fan but I'm also a Blake and Jordin fan so I'm not going to whine and cry just because one of my favorites didn't make the finale.
Meedoo diserves better fans! Maybe if she did, she would have been in the finals. Go ahea and flame away....flame suit on!

She is a great singer, but so have been alot of others that didnt make it.
She was good, but not the total package.

It is sad that some of her supporters cant just look ahead to Blake and Jordin and enjoy the show.

Come to think of it, I believe most of "those" Melinda fans came from another forum and just highjacked this forum.

On a different note, I think Jordin had a GREAT night. The Christina Aguillara (sp?) song was a very difficult song and seemed to require really good breathing technique which is Jordins weakest point. I give her kudos for singing that song. As far a Blake, I think Simon was right on...he started strong then sank like the Titanic BUT I give him props for sticking with it. He's a class act for letting Jordin go first OR was it that he didn't want to win and have to record that ballad.?:confused:

Also, did you see Melinda? She looked like a nervous teacher watching her two students sing. It actually shows how much she cared for her friends. I found it touching and evidence of a quality person.

Jordin proved last night why she deserves to be the American Idol. She gave three outstanding performances, and blew the judges away, including Simon. I disagree, Pyrock. I don't think we have been bashing the other contestants since Melinda left. Melinda fans have simply been trying to defend Melinda against the put-downs by Jordin fans primarily, who continue to belitle Melinda's looks or talk about her shyness, the small crowd at her school homecoming, or her alleged lack of star quality in an effort to keep justifying why Jordin was in the finals and Melinda was not.

Honestly, I've just lost interest since Melinda's gone. Not having Melinda in the finals was disappointing. In fact I watched the Bachelor Commentary last night instead of Idol, just flipped over occasionally during commercials.

It seems to me that it is the NON-Melinda fans like you, Pyrock, who are constantly bringing Melinda up! You are the one who is beating this dead horse over and over again... why don't you talk some more about the crowds???

Maybe you find the signature lines troublesome? Sorry, but just because Melinda was voted off does not mean I am required to morph into a Blake or Jordin fan and start singing their praises. And stating that "Melinda is Still My Idol" simply does not constitute a bash to Blake or Jordin.

As one of Melinda's most ardent Melinda fans, I refuse to be called a cry baby. You can't use a wide brush to paint all Melinda fans as bashers of Blake and Jordin because that's far from the truth. Have you considered that whining and crying about their favorite contestant might be therapeutic.
For those who say get over it, its not that easy as that. It's like telling a widow who is grieving to "snap out of it." Not that Melinda's loss is as serious as that but I'm sure you can understand where I am coming from. Melinda's fans are just really disappointed that's all. So empathize with them. I am not saying to bash the remaining contestants, but they could express their opinions without being negative.

I am a Melinda fan but have never bashed Jordin or Blake (I may have given opinions on what they excel and what they lack). This is a forum to discuss what we all think about the AI contestants and we all are entitled to our own opinions. Beckford was right in that Jordin and Blake fans have been worse in belittling Melinda - stating Melinda fans are old and all kinds of other negative things. Has it been Melinda who stayed to be in finale in place of Jordin or Blake, I am sure their fans would have been discussing their opinions as well (which is, I guess, in your opinion - being a "cry baby"). I think the only thing you have done with your comment here is making it sound like you are the only mature person when you really are not. For your record, I have also stated in one of my cooments that I like both Jordin & Blake and wish both of them the best. If you have not noticed, you are the immature one here making a broad statement about Melinda fans.

I wasn't too impressed by last night's show, but I did something I thought I would never, ever do--I picked up the phone and voted for Blake a bunch of times.

But I do, however, take offense to really out of line comments regarding Melinda's looks, Sanjaya's race, Lakisha's and Jordin's weight, etc. (I'm talking about the REALLY outrageous comments...)

Also to recent posters such as Letty and Rosie O, barging in with infantile discussions that sound more like bad soft porn. If I want that, I have better ways to find it...

The only thing about this is the "marketability factor". Anyone who is trying to be discovered off of the street has to have a look. American Idol is the same way.

Melinda was definitely my favorite for this season and I was devastated when she got booted but I showed love for Jordin because Jordin is pretty awesome and I know her and Melinda are close.
