That it might be fun to give simon some advise. a game of what would simon look the best in? ill start by saying he has to borrow Taylors leather . sitting on a bike in a leather would be great for simons style. they should have a special idol of a day that paula ,and randy dress simon. started with simon but maybe fun to dress one to or all the judges. ex rushdogs post. lol

O.k....I'm visualizing him in a black leather jacket &...oh, no! What could he pair it with? Jeans? Pants? It's just so wrong!
Maybe wear a patterned shirt with jeans or something, like Randy sometimes does. It'd be good to see him take a break from all those monochromatic T-shirts & sweaters.

I would hold out for spandex pants, no shirt, and a Leather mask. :smilies3:

I'd like to see him in a cowboy outfit with some leather chaps, like that guy on the Village People.

I'd like to see Paula in dominatrix outfit, or maybe a catwoman costume. That would be hot. I'd like to see Ryan in a Navy uniform, Randy in a busdriver uniform, along with Simon's cowboy get-up. All four of them could get up on stage and sing "Y.M.C.A". That would be a nice change of pace. I think that would really provide the spark that is needed.

Japanese school-girl uniform, French maid outfit, and cheerleader uniform would also be nice options for Paula. I could also see Randy in mailman uniform. I think I'm going to call the producers to see if we can get the ball rolling on this.

I was thinking the same thing---except I would really like to see Randy in those kind of outfits. :)

I am picturing Ryan in one of those German beer garden girl outfits with the ruffled skirt, knee socks, and long blonde braids. He needs to say, "Ya" a lot.
As for Simon, he just needs to stop showing so much male cleavage. He gives off that smarmy, "I'm a swinger, come hop on the waterbed in my van" vibe. Button up, Simon!!! No one wants to see that! EWWW!!!
Ryan has actually given him grief for that very thing a few times, but it hasn't sunk in. Maybe if he said it in the outfit...................."YA"

Kudos for using the word "smarmy" in a thread. Yes Simon does come off as smarmy, but I value his opinions.
Unless of course we're talking about Kellie Pickler, in which case I fear he's under some sort of "country bumpkin" spell...

Yeah, what is up with Simon's unhidden desire for the Pickle?
And hey, just because someone has poor fashion sense doesn't mean they don't know anything about singing......but then again, he does like Kellie's voice........
I wish the stylist who coated everyone's face with three feet of make up last night would at least give Simon a few wardrobe tips. How come noone has said anything about his hair? It is a weird flat top deal, reminiscent of Frankenstein.
OK, I have another good one: Simon should wear liederhossen (spelling?), you know, the German shorts with suspenders things and the pointy hat with a feather. That way, he and Ryan can match. Paula can wear whatever, but I really want Randy to dress like a mailman. (I can't stop laughing at that) Think of him running away from angry neighborhood dogs..."No Dawg, this just isn't workin' for me....."

LOL. Are you sure you don't mean to say Simon is "slimey"? "Smarmy" is defined as excessively earnest and ingratiating in manner, and that doesn't sound like the Simon I know and love.
Without question, the contestants value his input the most, no matter how brutually frank he can be at times. But I thought he was off his game yesterday.
Actually the evaluation of the three judges for any particular contestant usually goes like this:
Randy: "Dawg, that was the bomb. At little 'pitchy' in spots but you really worked it out at the end."
Paula: "You know whenever I hear you sing, I don't know what it is, but you make soap bubbles and butterfilies fly out of my ass!"
Simon: "That really sucked."

I think "all in all" Simon is right on. If I was a contestant on AI it would be no doubt that his approval would be what I seeked. I almost always agree with Simon, but there are times when he allows his opinions of the contestant mask his judgement.

Okay, get this. Randy in a brown UPS outfit, shorts and all. Paula in a fairy godmother outfit, and Simon in a Satan costume, horns and all... Or in an apron. HAHAHAHA! And is it me, or is Randy putting the pounds back on again?

I personally like Simon's male cleavage but that's just me.
Anyway, for someone who dislikes country music that much, Simon sure likes kellie a hell lot. But of course, it isn't about her vocal ability, is it?
And yes, I may not always agree with his opinions but at least he makes some effort to variate his comments, unlike Randy. He's always honest, which isn't much I can say for Paula, who seems to be perpetually sedated & on some kind of drug that makes her give nothing but praise.
Speaking of costumes, I was thinking of Randy in Jabba the Hutt costume, Paula in Princess Leia's bikini costume (with a chain around her neck that Randy occasionaly rattles just for the heck of it) & Simon in - what else - a Darth Vader costume.

Smarmy can also be defined as "hypocrically, complacently, or effusively earnest; Unctuous; characterized by affected, exaggerated or insincere earnestness" and yes, "Slimey" like, "Hey, you're a naughty little minx, come hop in my van."
If you don't think Simon is smarmy with the Pickle, I think we are watching different shows.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. He has definately been doing the "Mandisa" here of late. :)
On are more serious note, his putting back on the pounds is particulary dangerous----he had a gastric bypass to lose the weight in the first place.

Check it out, to further demonstrate how repeptitive and predictable Randy and Paula are with contestants, I once posted this post (http://www.idolme.com/showpost.php?p=3905&postcount=8) about a future career these judges may look into should Simon ever leave the show.

Contestant:Mittens.
Tonight's theme is: Yellow Yarn.
Cat plays with yellow yarn for 2 minutes.
Randy: Dude...check it out dog. You know what I love about you? You made the yellow yarn work. A couple or rough patches where the yarn started to fray but you worked it out dog... You made it hot dude!...Dog pound we gotta hot one tonite!!! Dude...dog...man...dude...man...
Paula Mittens, you are such a performer. I wait every night to see you play with yarn. You have a wonderful gift and your yarn-play warms my heart. I could never say anything bad about you- even the hairball you coughed up was adorable! This competition needs you very, very much!
And that's how bad the show would be without Simon.
Too right, SoS!!! Hits the nail right on the head!! :yelrotflm
