Anyways...Even though she got voted out it doesnt mean that she wont get a recored deal. How Idol has been running for the last few seasons is that if you get into the top 5 or so then you will most deffinately get a record deal from someone.

Prettty much all the finalists will do great... I dont thik that the winner of it all will necessarily be the biggest. The show is about exposure and they all have their fan base from the show. Thats all they need.

I don't know about that! I personally voted just over 200 times for her to be sure she made it in.... One other on this board is responsible for over 1,000 votes for Melinda... none of us felt it would be 100% certain without our votes. I'm so disappointed.

I believe thats what the producers did in order to stop the whole Sanjaya thing that put a lot of the good ones off the show...They felt enough was enough and wanted to actually make the votes count for something once he was out of the picture.

Not true! That would have to be Chris Daughtry last year getting 4th place. Ohh well though, his CD has already quadrupled the sales of Taylor Hicks.

Melinda will have every bit the same opportunity to breakout as a big star with massive hits as whoever wins this year. I think out of the top 3 Jordin will struggle the most to find her sound that 1, people are comfortable hearing her sing and 2, also fits her personality and voice. Melinda has that Tina Turner vibe and could make a great album of bluesy, rock-inspired pop/r&b songs. Blake knows how to make a pop song sound good, both in the way he sings it and the beats he creates, so I see him having no problem getting lots of radio play on mainstream pop radio stations, as well as selling lots of records to people who like dance/pop music and every screaming little girl who has $10 to spend on their iTunes account.

Because the show produces a handful of sucessful artists each year, especially the ones that don't win should only increase it cred, music industry and entertainment industry wise. It has so many sucess stories under its belt there really isn't any reason to expect much change this year.

If he has what it takes he will make his own music and become a big star in the music (and possibly stand up comedy) business. After 6 seasons I can confidently say that if you were in the top 10 you have a chance, if you have the passion. For instance, any Mandisa fans from last year will be happy to know that the season 5, 9th place finisher just realeased her first single. Not my style of music at all, but I hope she does well as she always had a great attitude and I would like to see someone as "diverse" (hope that wasn't mean) as her float into the mainstream.

There wouldn't be as many busy signals also so dial idol might not be abot to ruin it for some people each week. I find it hard not to look.
