SNORE!!! Now that I have woken up from the deep sleep Jordins singing has put me in, Thank GOODNESS for TiVo because it was my only saving grace!

Melinda- Sang as usual...however I didn't think she had the range of vocal ability tonight for that Whitney song--Play it back....Yep, she struggled and covered it up. Melinda you can sing--Okay--everyone knows you can sing and I enjoy listening to your vocal perfection, but I can't see myself buying the music I see you producing nor do I hear it on my radio. Good Luck--If you win it will be deserving.

Blake-- You keep me entertained and for that alone, I give you the #1 spot most of the time. Vocally, you are in a different category than Melinda's vocals or even some of Jordin's--Its a totally different kind of genre which makes it hard for you because some think you can't sing. I like Blake-Still, I am not sure I would buy his music...but I absolutly enjoy hearing him sing. Tonight Roxanne went off just as I thought it would--Okay. Maroon 5...That was really good!!!! and I agree with Randy!! Robin Thicke--TOPS...it was so entertaining and creative--I LOVE IT. Blake is original and he deserves to be in the Finale--Should he WIN--Absolutely Not. It benefits him not to, but I don't think he should over shadow Melinda for the prize--But I think he would give a great and entertaining show.

Jordin-Jordin-Jordin-- What can I say other than YES, you are 17. I thought your night was BORING uneventful and very typical. 2 Ballads that bore me to TEARS and you brought NOTHING with you to win--Could you step it up PLEASE....Jordin is singing this Donna Summer song (BORE) from the dance era and all she can do is walk around in circles on the stage. YOu lack serious stage presence because all you sing is ballad after ballad. Isn't this the time when you are supposed to turn UP the energy?? You can virtually pick any song out there for you final and you chose one that we have already heard ANOTHER BALLAD:11doh: --I am so bored with your worbly vocals and I hope we are not cursed with the kiss of pure death by having you and Melinda in the finale. This could be the first year I don't watch. You don't entertain me at all and I thought your last song was so fake with the put on emotion. She is a sweet girl--gorgeous, but I don't think she should step into the role of AI for another few years.

Well, there you have it-- A little beat box, 2 songs about prostitution--and all the Dynamics of a dinner in the park on a Sunday afternoon--I think its time for another nap! Go ahead now--Take your shots:p

I don't think Blake nailed Roxanne either. He couldn't hit the high notes "put on a red light" .

No shots from me. I totally agree, and I've been fighting this battle since last week's show. Melinda's the best singer, Blake's the most entertaining, and Jordin is good for a 17 year old. That's it in a nutshell, but I really think people are getting carried away with the young thing, and Jordin will go to the final. But I don't believe for a minute she should win.

The only way he could have "nailed" Roxanne, would be to sound exactly like Sting, and if he did, he would have been accused of being unoriginal and karioke. That song didn't provide a ton of options for him - it was a no win song, and I really think he pulled it off.

I am totally confused at how the Judges (Randy) beat Blake and Lakisha up every single week about every little thing, and HEAP kudos on Jordin--
I think Randy has some kind of stake in her winning (not really) but it just seems odd that I can cleary pin point each and every mistake she makes in pitch and the KING DAWG of "pitchy" can't hear it all of the sudden--CRAZY.

Its true, I forgot about the Simon Statement-- And its probably my favorite statement of the entire season--Ready...

"It wasn't as good as the original"

One more time--This HUGE classic song that put the Police on the MAP....

"It wasn't as good as the original"

worth repeating.

I don't think he's got any stake in her winning, but I do think (really) that he is afraid to express and opinion that might differ from Simon, so he says the safe thing. Jordin isn't terrible, and it's safe to say she's good, but he'd never say Blake was great until Simon OKs it. So, simply based on their seating position, Blake never really had a chance for all three judges to rave about him. Even Simon said Blake took risks, and he succeeded. He should be rewarded for it - not penalized because Randy's too gutless to say anything that may be contentious.

...and throughout the history of AI how many of these undiscovered contestants have sung songs that have been as good as the orginals that made them famous? Please, of course it wasn't as good as the original. If it was, he'd already been recording, and not wasting his time on this show. The issue isn't being as good as the original, but making the song your own.

maybe you should tell Simon that? I'm just repeating what dee said because she felt it was worth repeating.

Unfortunately they won't give me a chance to tell that to Simon. Believe me, I'd love to. But, let's face it, even if I did, he would have some smart ass retort for it.
