I read that Barry wrote To Love Somebody for Otis Redding but he passed away before he could record it. I'll bet that would have been great!
Some songs from the Bee Gees I love are: Massachusetts, To Love Somebody and How Deep is your Love. It will be very interesting to see what song choice the AI group chooses. I can picture Blake doing Jive Talkin' with some beatbox mixed in....what do you guys think?

lonely days, lonely nights, where (beatbox here) would I be without my woman?

I'd rather see Brian Wilson instead of The Gibbs.

I love sitting in a hot tub sipping a most excellent beverage while listening to the Bee Gees!

Jive Talkin' (beatbox)...Jive Talkin'... I really can't see Lonely Days/Nights in a beatbox song but who knows...he did an EXCELLENT job with The Zombie's Song Time of the Season and a very good different take on last weeks Bon Jovi song. Great thing I like about Blake is that he thinks out of the box!
I just have this gut feeling he might go towards an up beat song like Jive Talkin' we will see!! I hate to see this group of 4 leave they are really great. Now we will have to wait a whole year and go through weeks of terrible singers who's friends & family tell them they CAN SING > must be very hard on the judges to endure!!

I love that song. Oh for the good old days. Good thing we have cds and Youtube along with the oldies station. I can't think right now which one I would suggest sing Nights on Broadway.

Certainly it is wild to see the Helen Reddy show. Isn't it great we have YouTube? I believe 32 years is correct. I was in my late teens then, and liked to party at the discotheque, so that's how I remember the Gibbs brothers. I love how the brothers blend their voices to create such harmony. It's so amazing that 3 brothers from the same family would be so talented, and stayed together for so long. I can't wait till next Wednesday to listen to Barry's performance.

By the time I was of age disco was out. We had a disco place for younger teens but I wasn't old enough for that either. My friend and I would hide in the bushes at the "teen club" and we'd shoot peas thru our pea shooters at the teens! That was a hoot! Yes, we were jealous we couldn't get in. I bet the disco clubs were fun though! I love Donna Summer's song McCarthur Park! That's pure disco!
