Mr. Pee Pee Pants;
I do not recognize this foreign dialect that you speak, What exactly does "Buck the $%^&" translate to in English?

Next time, use the big boy words and this won't be a problem.

Aside from all the deletions, I'm going to say that Bucky doesn't suck. He is in the top 10 and he didn't do that by imitating a vacuum!
While I don't think he has the strongest voice, he does have that down home charisma about him that makes him likeable. He won't make it for more than one or two more weeks, but he'll always have gigs. Superstardom, I doubt.

There's a lot of Bucky Bashers around these forums.
I have to say, I haven't been the biggest fan of Bucky's from the start, but when Bucky stays in his comfort zone - Country - he does a pretty good job, and I don't know if he's had formal training (I doubt it) but if a vocal coach would work with him, there would be a noticeable improvement in his delivery.
I liked his rendition of 'Real Good Man' despite his diction problems...he's got an interesting timber to his voice, and a certain smoothness in his style that I like (when he sings country).
I agree...he has charisma...he's a nice kid...No, he won't win AI, and yes...he'll probable go soon enough...but I think he'll do a good job this week and won't be the next one going home. I'm happy for him to have had the opportunity to do what he did on Idol.

I don't like his singing or performances at all & I think he has bad dress sense.
Having said all that, I don't know exactly why I don't dislike him how I do kellie & kevin.
Must be his relatively pleasant demeanor & humble disposition.
And there you have it, folks. Why Bucky Covington has never been in the bottom three despite week after week of unimpressive performances. :)

I agree that Kellie is more irratating (like fingernails on a chalkboard every time she speaks), but Bucky just doesn't have it and is the least talented singer left--He performed good last week, but should really be the next to go.

I'm just guessing here, but I bet Bucky ponys up another pretty decent performance this week and skates through safely. There are a couple of folks that might really have some trouble with this week's theme. At this point in the game, I'm starting to feel like Bucky is impressing me more than Ace. Since Ace sang Father Figure, he's been on a steady decline. Bucky has improved every week. I will agree that Bucky is probably the least vocally talented contestant left, but his improvement shows in his stage presence and song selection, two real issues for Ace. Kellie has been on the same sort of decline as Ace. I think she'll be in the bottom three this week, but will barely squeek by.

I agree with what you are saying, and if Ace really bombs out I think he could be gone, but I think Ace has a fan base that is going to vote for him --Actually. I think he got a lot of Kevin's fans votes. The real question to me is how Elliott will handle the challenge of country music.

Yes, Elliot is one that may have a hard time with it. Not because he can't sing it... I think he can sing anything. Some male country artists actually have very nice clarity to their voices, so if he goes with something like Collin Raye, or Craig Morgan, he might be okay. Maybe even that Mark Wills cover of Brian McKnight's "Back at One." He could also get away with something upbeat by Rascall Flatts. But if he goes with something a little more 'hick', he might have a hard time making it believable. Song selection will be very important for him this week. Well, that, and nixxing the jumping bean coreography. The fact that he's not very familiar with the genre will make song selection the toughest part of this week.
As for Ace getting some of Kevin's votes, I'm not sure it matters much just yet. Obviously, Kevin wasn't getting as many votes as the others because he was the first one booted from the top 10. So take his votes, toss a bunch Ace's way, maybe a few Kellie's Way, maybe even a few Paris' way. Ace obviously didn't have many votes to start with. He's been bottom three twice now (I think... correct me if I'm wrong). So Kevin's votes combined with his.... is it enough to elevate him to a point where he's safe from bottom three? I kinda doubt it. Is it enough to protect him from elimination this week? Maybe. I just don't think the vote shift dynamics play that large a role this early in the game. Maybe when we get to top 4 or 5.

What would you think about Eliott attempting some really old country? Some vintage stuff has a blues feel and I think Elliot would get into it. Like Hank Williams's Cold Cold Heart? I just had a thought--What about Chris singing some Merle Haggard? If he could pull it off that would be something people wouldn't forget. Merle and Chris don't compromise, are true to their own inner voice, Yes...that would definitely be interesting.

Would you rather have him shave his hair off like Chris? That would really be scary. Two skinny versions of Bam-Bam Bigalow.

I'm sure Elliott has the ability to do something like that, but he also has to consider who it will appeal to and whether it will help him reel in some votes. He might get some elder's votes, but the younger guys I know that are into older country music aren't the type that sit at home at watch Amercian Idol, or even if they are, they aren't into actually voting. I really think, for this week, he needs to perform something contemporary... more along the lines of cutting edge country. Rascall Flatts' new CD hits stores today and there's an edgy track on it called Me and My Gang (the title track). You can definitely hear the bon jovi / big & rich influences on it. I'm betting he'd do real well with something like that. Chris would probably do well with Merle. He would probably do really well with Hank Jr. too.

Elliot is a great singer and all, but he looks like one of them folk singers on that movie, "A Mighty Wind".

Yea bucky does suck, but he shows that almost anybody can make it on AI. He did a good performance of "Real Good Man" by Tim McGraw though, I'll give him credit for that. :D

Hey who are you calling a yankee! I am from the South. But that doesn't mean that I can't tell a good voice from a lesser talent. Bucky is not in the same league with some of the others vocal range. I give him kudos for being around this long, but he should be the next to go.

I'm telling you, Bucky's no joke! Especially if he does "Achy, Breaky, Heart". By the way, I love the Yankees. And the Jets.
