I personally did not like his performance tonight at all. I was kind of shocked to hear all of the judges opinions.
It just goes to show you-- Not enough cookie cutter performances tonight for you??? Can't stand the originality because its lack of conforming to what people think is a "good performance".??? WOW people, haven't we just had enough of the American Idol blueprint? I mean REALLY--Raw Talent is beyond you.?

omg i completely agree with you!!! Blake is so original...that's why I love him. i'm so bored with the usual cookie-cutter performance...the girl next door..the justin timberlake. GO BLAKE!!!!!!!!!!!! his performance was awesome..he takes risks...he's ballsy...he puts so much energy into the song....SO good

No Dee, he took one of Bon Jovi's best songs and made a mockery out of it with the 1980's microphone spit rap.
The parts where he simply sang the song in it's origonal form were good.

No it wasnt Carrie it was another girl contestant a year or so ago who didnt make it very far. She wasnt a good singer and was tough to look at but I remember her yodelling and Randy and Simon slamming her.
Does that guy sing at all??

No. Beatboxing is not singing. Blake isn't as good at beatboxing as this guy, and he isn't as good at singing as he thinks he is.

Agree. If you tune out the beat boxing and listen to the singing, Blake is just kind of average vocally. He's nowhere near the vocal talent of Kiki, MeDoo, or Jordin. And Phil has a MUCH better voice than Blake. He's better than Chris, but that's about it. He 'stands out' due to his gimmick, kind of like Taylor did with his herky-jerky last season.
I think Blake is a talented musician, but he's not a 'star' quality voice. Blake could likely be quite successful as a producer.
