I want Paris to go home.... I cannot stand her.
She can talk right when she wants to not in that little baby crappy voice
last night she started the song out with words and they were not babyfied.
I can't stand fake crap. Not at all.
Like Simon says
Sorry but that just isn't good enough. :argue: :argue:

I would like to see her go home as well. Her votes would be "better put to use" if given to someone else.

Paris is only 17, she is a child and she has had that same voice since the beginning of the show. Unlike Kellie her personality has not changed to gain votes, its not an act, it is just la ight speaking voice and a power house song voice.....several artist have the same confliction. Paris will go home in her own time, but I hope Bucky and Kellie go home first. Kellie has that irrating, I'm a dumb rock voice, that is driving me nuts.
And Bucky seems sweet, but the range just isn't there.

Paris is a beautiful name. Paris the singer is clearly talented but singing contests as such are not solely objective. A lot of things in life are subjective.
This applies too to American Idol. There will be a time when it will be Paris' turn to call it a day but not just yet.
If singers are voted in strictly by merit, then the past seasons of the American Idol would not have so many surprises. Painful as it may seem, talented singers do get kicked out through no fault of theirs.
There's not much fair-play in a reality show like American Idol. Paris will survive two or three more weeks. That's my analysis of the whole thing. There are other factors that determine a singer's staying power.
For example, like personality, showmanship, entertainment value and screen presence. In a way, the contest is like a decathelon. You may score high in four events but if you get low marks in the other six events, you may lose in the final outcome.
At about 17 years old, Paris certainly is making an impact. She has a long way to go and if my guess is right, it won't be too bumpy for her. She will do all right.
If she ends up as the Idol, I for one will be surprised.

That's true, Watcher. I personally like her very much. She turns into this completely different person onstage & she's extremely fun to watch. She can sing, dance & in my opinion, is pretty darned stylish.
Still, people either love or hate her. So while she hasn't had to suffer the suspense of being in the bottom three just yet, it's still quite unpredictable as to where she really stands in terms of votes.

I will stop watching the show if Paris makes it to the top 5. She is a self center little brat who thinks she can make it just because she has a famous Grandmother. SHe did not need american idol to get a record deal just shows how much of a person she is.

What? I mean, we pick on the contesants' performances, sartorial sensibilities, talent, looks (or the lack thereof) & in kellie's case, her non-stop babbling.
But to assume that Paris is an arrogant spoiled brat who's riding on her grandmother's coattails just because you don't think she's one of the better contestants?
Now, that's taking it a little too far.

I agree Paris certainly has the recognition factor with her grandmother being a celebrated singer herself. However, there have been PLENTY of offspring of singers and most of them hardly get past being lounge acts in Vegas.
I can name only a couple - Liza Minelli and Natalie Cole...other than that I draw a blank.

If you think paris talks with the same voice all the time you dont watch the show. Even tonight when she talked to Seacrest at the begining she talked in a normal voice then when she was thanking the judges she did that baby crap. I think it is time for her to go home. I voted for the first time this season and my vote went to Katherine.

Paris has a very strong singing voice...really, THAT'S what this is about...why do we care so much what she talks like??? She seems to be a sweetheart...I have no idea why someone would call her a "spoiled brat"...she still has my vote to be in the last 5!

Couldn't have put it better myself. She has the voice for this show, and I think she's fun to watch. I like her.

I do not care about how she speaks... she is an amazing singer, with a big vocal range and a lot of style. She is not my favourite contestant, but I will really appreciate to see her as one of the top four.
