View Full Version : Kelly Clarkson's voice

After watching Kelly's dreadful performance on Idol Gives Back, it is clear that the vocal style of her songs is not doing her voice any favours. Her performance was rough; she shouted her way through the more powerful notes and her voice clearly cracked at one point. She needs to take more care of her instrument, otherwise it will burn out.

n.b And what was that maternity dress she was wearing? Sorry Kelly I think you're great, but you were awful, in more ways than one on that show.

Oh she's all over the place. Isn't she the most successful idol?

Well, now probably Carrie is, but she was the most successful.

It's amazing how much they've all changed. Here is her original audition. Randy auditioned too. I forgot about that. Simon had poofy hair, and Kelly was a bad dresser.

That's why I love that m&m's commercial with the The The song in it. "This is the day, your life will surely change"

Great stuff!

Kelly Clarkson put on a very good performance on Idol Gives Back. She reminded me of Janis Joplin a little bit. I think she's found her calling now. I even thought she was better than Annie Lennox.

I thought Kelly was pretty pants too, she looks like she's gained a few pounds which probably accounts for the dress.

Kelly sounded dreadful, her voice was hoarse and as I pointed out before, she cracked in the middle of a held note. She is not the vocal performer that woman American Idol. I thought she was dreadful! Clearly all the indie style pop songs she has taken to singing are ruining her voice.

Yeah, she hasn't done much. She only won two grammy awards for her Breakaway album. Breakaway won in the "Best Pop Vocal Album" category and the single "Since U Been Gone" received the "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" award. The album only sold over 11 million worldwide.

Well it's obvious Sanjayalicious doesn't have both oars in the water. Anybody that idolizes Sanji that much needs check-up from the neck-up.

Actually, 'lish is a pretty bright almost college kid who will be going to a pretty good school next year and working on some pretty tough majors. (Once she decides what to choose). Oh, and he's a she who tells it like it is. I don't diss people for having opinions.

Kelly put Annie Lennox to shame! I like Annie but she should've sang another song. I'm still in disbelief that Clay Aiken didn't make an appearance. He's usually all over these "help the world" campaigns. I hope those kids get something to eat over there. It was very heartbreaking to sit there and watch these kids suffering. They deserve a better life!

Gayken has made enough appearances to last a lifetime. I can endure Annie butchering that song, if it means I don't have to watch him.

OMG!!!! What is this "Piss on 'Lish" Day?!?!?!
you are starting to get on my nerves, have i insulted you?

I luv Sanjaya, but i don't worship him and i rarely think about him or any other star unless the subject is brought up, or im on this site!:p My screen name is Sanjayalicious! what else do you think i came here to talk about?

You couldn't be more wrong, here's why:
1)There is nothing wrong with my head. Expressing my love of Sanjaya doesn't make me an idiot. Im smart enough to know that praising what i do like(sanjaya) is more productive than b*tchin about what i dont like.(what you're doing)
2)im not 12, dont assume that you know me
3)Im not using daddy's keyboard, i dont have a daddy.
4)if I were supposed to be in school, i'd be in school.

Actually I liked Taylor too. I was actually torn because I liked both him and Kat. I just think his CD sucks. He would've been better off not winning, so he could do his own thing. He's a blues singer, not a pop star.

The only person I didn't like last year was Chris, and he'll probably be the most successful one of the bunch.

Jay has a very loose terminology there.... not about the best or the contestant part.... ahem.
