If anyone reading this is a geek or knows one, I just hooked up my new puter, spent the evening transferring whatnots onto it. Now I am supercomputing! But everything is HUGE on my screen. I tried but could not find how to adjust the display settings. I right clicked on the desktop and it just isn't the same. I did figure out how to get smaller icons, but everything else just looks huge.
Am I just not used to the superior graphics performance of my new PC?

Well I think it's because I switched to windows vista with the new puter. I was on XP. It just looks different. I know some of the hype was the superior graphics but... well lets just say I'm not throwing my old puter in the donation pile just yet.

I would keep the old one unless it can't be used...I don't like it when everything is huge on the monitor..

But it's VISTA! (whatever good that does me I don't know)
I might be getting used to it now. I don't know. It's just different, ya know?

right click where you change the screen saver and click on settings, you should get options there. i have windows 98 and i don't know about vista... some guy came over and changed my screen size and i didn't like it.. made it too small and i use paint a lot... i hated it and had him change it back... wouldn't be good with word either......if it doesn't work, let me know.

No, I tried that. There are only two settings. 860Xwhatever and 1024xwhatever. I am on 1024, the 860 made everything even HUGER. I heard rumors about the htz of the monitor, it's an LCD thingy. I don't know. Bugger it I guess I'm getting used to it.
On the bright side, I don't think I need new glasses any longer!

Yay! I found where to change the DPI, now it looks better AND I can still get new glasses!
So far Vista is OK, now that I have it looking like XP I should be fine. ;)
When I got a flat panel monitor I got one of the wide screen ones..
I couldn't stand it.....

I'm not sure I would like the wide one myself. What do you do with the extra real estate anyway? Watch movies? Hello, I have a TV for that!
BTW Dea, NICE Tv ya got there. Happy Birthday?
